I've read Pogrebnyak has a relegation release clause at Reading would he cost too much in Fee and salary?

Agree he wasn't the quickest at his best and he has lost a yard or two of pace since his injury at Sunderland .There are surely better options now.

Don't think we should go for Pogrebnyak he wasn't that good for Reading.

Am i the only 1 who think Alex Baptiste Would be a good signing? I'd much rather get him on a FAT then give Macca a new deal, probably be cheaper as well!

no you're not, I got half way through my list on that 'top 10 targets' thread and baptiste was one of my choices. I think Leicester were after him in January. He'd be a great signing for both his experience and flexibility.

Baptiste is a good defender, definitely worth taking on a NATAC deal.

Agree, started off well when he first came into the EPL, but since then has done nothing special.

We wont get any defender that is better than Michael Turner. So if he is available then lets grab him quick.

I dont see any established PL clubs going in for Austin as its too much of a risk for them. Villa especially may choose to cash in on Darren Bent and sign up Carlton Cole from West Ham who have said he can leave this summer.

    ..:emoticon-0103-cool: <cheers>

They would be well within our budget for the PL like.

I loved Turner when he was with us, but I wouldn't want him back.

Things have moved on now, the quality of the Premier League is higher than it was last time we were there, I think we need to do better than Turner or Kilgallon.

You just have to look at the three relegated teams this season, most of their players would walk into our team and we need to be very careful about who we bring in. That's why I wouldn't have given McShane another year and I wish the list of players available included Bruce and Proschwitz and I'm not even sure that Hobbs can make the step up(though obviously I hope he does).
