    Towcester 6.35 Marodima

    Confident

Unbeaten from two at Towcester. Great young jockey on board. Won this type of race at Towcester last season.

If odds against I'm on board.

    Edit: 5/2 opening price

Good luck Bob. Not my idea of a good bet but I see where you're coming from.

Beacon lady 4.40 Brighton. Local horse back on his favourite track. No idea what odds he will be but I'm suspecting a decent e/w price will be available.

PERSIAN PERIL 16-1 6.50 Pontefract has dropped to a mark that is very realistic, has his ground which hasnt been the case lately and hails from a yard hitting top form. Add in the fact that Neil Callan gets the leg up and I think we have a very reasonable sporting EW punt. He came good on his second run last year and a repeat is very possible.

    16.10 Brighton- Highland Duke- 11/8

Off to my local flat track tomorrow for the 1st meeting of the year. Really fancy the chance of this one tomorrow- Kirby comes to brighton for two rides but think this is the most likely as he was narrowly denied at windsor- altho he has been up put 2lbs for that effort but will still take plenty of beating tomorrow.

Morning, crew. Big news of the day is that old boy Telescope is to gallop before racing at Lingers Park tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, this will put him slap bang wallop back on target for Epsom Downs.

Lovely win for old Pythagorean yesterday eve. Faces a big hike in the old perches though after said 5 length romp. And 78 could be replaced by a figure around the 90 region. In normal circumstances connections could be forgiven for eying the Jersey at Royal Ascot after that performance but that won’t happen as ‘The Prince’ and Mr Charlton have already identified Dundonnell as their Jersey boy this term. The theory re Pythagorean before yesterday’s demolition job was the Britannia next and I would imagine that still would be the aim with him. If last year is any guide a mark of 90 would leave the old boy on, or around, the 9 stone mark in that heat.

Good luck if you wager today, team.

I'm sure they'll be looking at all the angles with Pythagorean, Sir Barney, and come to the conclusion that a²+b² does indeed equal c²

top stuff from the pair of you.

The 2.20 today looks a potentially interesting heat, with runners from Hannon, Suroor, Hills and Meehan, the theory with Meehan's has long been - 2nd time up you back them blind, but at 1/2 Windfast looks a perfect horse to take on, and I would be laying him today if I was betting. I am not and I will watch on with interest.

    18:00 Newcastle - Bailadeira e/w

(Could well surprise over this minimum trip, on ground that should suit her. Had a bit e/w at 25/1 - currently available in three places).

(Nass: What's old Nick Millard doing nowadays? "What's the most important Thing in horseracing? The......." You know the rest. Had one or two barneys with him a few years back, he always won, of course!).

    Afternoon all

After all of the superb tipping on here over the last couple of days i'm gonna throw a spanner in the works and put my selections up for this afternoon.

    2.40 Bri Daylight
    4.10 Bri Highland Duke
    4.30 New Mean It
    4.50 Not Secret Art

All shorties but hopeful all will win. Also on KINGSCROFT as he is the only Johnstone horse running this afternoon at 5.30 Newcastle.

    Good luck all
