For me too - wonder if Brix wore a vintage R's hooped shirt on match days? Hope our lot do Brix proud today (win, draw or lose), by at least putting in some sort of team performance.
Haven't been on here for a week, so I have only just seen the sad news. Brix was a voice of reason on here. Even when I got a liitle too vociferous in my opinions Brix would be the calming influence that we all need from time to time. A great Rs fan, negotiator, ambassador and from the comments from Brix Jr, father. Will be sorely missed on here. Really saddened by this news. RIP Brix.
Have been away for a couple of day so only just discovered the sad news. My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with the Brix family.
Sad, sad news. One of those moments where all the local rivalries seem so irrelevant. RIP BrixtonR. My condolences to his family and friends.
so sad to hear about the much loved brix, I first posted on here over a year ago and got a bit of banter from rangers fans, brix private messaged me and said please don't be put off, and keep coming to our board, I have never met him, but I took his advice and have been on here ever since. r.i.p you will be sadly missed and I thank you for making me feel so welcome
I never met the man but he was an intelligent, level-headed poster and a gentleman who worked hard on all our behalf. I shall miss him. My condolences to his friends and family.
Up to each and everyone of us to keep this forum going now: I would call for all to return as we are a family
Spot on Oddball. I hope that this tragedy acts as some kind of catalyst to bring our little community closer together, and I would dearly love to see people who have left for one reason or another flock back to this board now. Brix's passing really puts any petty disagreements any of us might have with one other over the years into perspective.
Paul Finney, true to his word, gave Brix a brief mention, in the same breath as Kiyan Prince, on the Open All R's podcast last night. I wouldn't listen to it especially for that, but I've always enjoyed listening to the guys chat about QPR.
Only just seen this, very sad to hear. RIP brix, top poster and top bloke. Thoughts with family and friends.
Not been on here for a few days, so share the same shock and sadness that so many others have at reading this news. Despite being a Fulham fan, I've often enjoyed reading, and occasionally contributing to, interesting conversations and/or banter on this board, and have always thought it has been well and sensibly modded. My sincere sympathies to Brixton's family and to all board members at this sad time.
Just thinking back to when Brix said he left the Newcastle game at half time. Got better things to do with my time, he said. That's quite a thing to do. Can't imagine many people leaving that early under normal circumstances. I wonder if Brix knew something deep down and realised it was time to be with the one who really matter.
such a sad thing to lose a fellow fan and i am sorry i never knew him but you guys have said so much so well and done him proud. RIP BrixtonR
