So we won the league now this is the knockout, if we win tonight does that count as a league and cup double?
Impressive first half performance against a Man Utd side that's been solid at the back all season. Controlled the midfield, looked dangerous up front and not really given them much of a sniff at goal, despite the odd defensive mistake. 2-0 is about right, though we've had a fair number of chances to make the gap bigger, including two strikes that hit the woodwork. More of the same in the second half, please.
Their MF has been putting it about, but this looks like a repeat of the home game a couple of months ago. If they cannot panic Spurs into mistakes (tackles etc) , they will get done on the counter (again) .
They've pretty much had no choice but to show Spurs highlights through the half time break. Fantastic first half from the boys, lets hope we can keep this up for the full 90.
Agree with you. Hopefully others can now see why some of us get excited About this team and also see for themselves the talent we have beneath the first team.
It'll be interesting to see what we do next season with our youngsters, especially now we're in the Europa League. I'd like to think maybe one of Carroll, Pritchard and Ceballos is kept and gets some time in the Europa League and League Cup to prove themselves. More useful in the long term than keeping Dempsey on.
I'm going to smash my laptop up listening to these commentators any longer. Infuriating, Spurs should be down to 7 men in their view, every foul's a booking apparently.
"It'll be interesting to see what we do next season with our youngsters" If up to me ... Get Carroll a season long PL loan. Some of the U21s to play in League and Europa games. Maybe Ceballos out on loan in January. Luongo and Pritchard to do season loan in league below.
