I backed us to go up this year - did not expect automatic though - if we are 2/1 or better to stay up next season I'll lump on 500 like I did when we went up to prem last time. I'm presently mulling backing QPR for back to back relegation - they are faves to get promo next season but I smell a disaster looming
St-Louis tiger, I have given myself a slap on the wrist, a good talking to and a few minutes on the naughty step for committing the cardinal sin of being positive, suspect some people would claim 16th was aiming too high. And although I did have £2 on us to finish top, even on the last day after we had drawn I was expecting watford to win (am no good at betting - so never normally bet on Hull as the opposite outcome to my bet is the usual case). If Bruce gets in the players he wants, whether that does include Kaspar on his shopping list or not - only the coaching staff and board know the truth, I reckon we could surprise a few clubs and with Moyes at United, unknown at Man City and who knows at Chelsea in the first few weeks whoever play these sides may get better results (What would be the odds if we do sign Phil Neville that we get his former mentor as 1st match of the season) than might have been the case last season
Next season will be very difficult. It's a stupidly strong team. I have faith in our team, but there really aren't any poor sides in the PL.
You think ? Outside of the top 7 its all very open. If we can score goals Hull City will stay up. Its nowhere near as strong as the PL of 2010.

Reports in the southern media have both Fulham GK Mark Schwartzer and David Stockdale having showdown talks with Martin Jol this week. The Aussie on a FaT would not be bad either imo. SSN, report that PL clubs Hull and Swansea lead the chase for Lesta GK Kasper Schmeichel.
Yes we will compete with Swansea, and Norwich and Southampton. I would say none of these clubs are out of our league. Bruce is the difference to the last time we went up. We have that advantage over a few clubs that are already there.
I don't think that we will buy any of your players. Not because we don't want some but because of our previous spats in the transfer market. Nor do I think that you will be a club that sells its players just because you missed out this season, the foundation needs to be built on. You have to strengthen next season so why sell.
He has more personality, more experience, a better record in this division... and is quite frankly a better manager than Nigel Pearson? Am I missing something too? Or is that every reason why I'd rather have Steve Bruce any day over "Blockhead" as Ian ashbee put him.
