Recently renewed my ST, and debating driving up to HQ instead of train/tube/tube solution I did last year. Is there anywhere that does a form of Season Ticket parking scheme? failing that, where is the best place to park? In all honesty driving would be easier for me and the old man. Help appreciated.
We always park on Godolphin Road which is just off Goldhawk Road. The access is via Stowe Road. Have a look on google maps. It is within a 5 minute walk of the ground, handy for most pubs/restaurants in the area of the ground and Westfield. The parking is free on a Saturday and in the evenings.
Westfield £8 weekends, £5 weekdays (all day, so you can turn up as early as you want and wait til you've sobered up to leave). There's always space, very convenient for the idle (i.e. me)
Never have a problem finding a space on Goodwin Road near to Crown and Scepter pub. Free on road parking evenings and Sat. About 10 minute walk to ground.
Or Percy Road near the Conningham.....Parked there for years and never had a problem finding a space.
In the late 1960's, early 1970's as a teenager I used to drive up from Hampshire with my dad for a few games and we never seemed to have any issues finding street parking not too far from the ground - just wondering how is vehicle security these days - theft, damage etc? We never experienced any problems back then.
Not my car CorkeR. The cousin parks there and afterwards drops me back to Heathrow as he lives in West Drayton.
Thanks for all the info guys. Looks like i'll be trying some of the freebies and if that fails £8 for all day at Westfield isnt all that bad.
The players car park will hopefully have a few spare places in next season, plus Zamoras always out there to keep an eye on it for you.
