So the bookies have picked the two relegated teams (pre Wigan) and those that found a bit of form at the end of the season. Not really surprising. Middlesbrough were fancied last year after they found form at the end of the previous season. So were Bolton, Wolves, Brum and Blackburn. And us of course. They haven't got a clue. No-one has!

QPR shouldn't be favourites. 12/1 or 14/1 at best and probably a mid table finish. Think Bolton could be worth a flutter at 10/1

Why do you say this? Are you expecting a mass clear-out? Will you be able to get rid of big earners? Will you be in shape for FFP?

QPR all depends on who stays and goes in the summer, there no point in betting yet.

Exactly - Yeovil could get taken over by a rich Sheik and spend £100M in the Summer - Not worth betting till seasons started!!

I'd put you up there as favourites.

Regardless of who leaves, Harry is a top quality manager and has a good bargain or two in him.

Whichever one of Watford and Palace doesn't get promoted is invariably going to be named favourite, the media loves them both!

You would think if Watford kept the same team, then they would be one of the favourites.

I think someone may have a look at that loophole sometime soon, but yeah, their team utterly outclassed us this season and I really don't want to have to play them again! Palace I think will have their team picked away at without promotion.

Even if they close the loophole, they will just sign from Udinesse to Watford on a free, then when they are done, Udinesse will sign them back.

Palace without Zaha will not be favourite - probably around 14/1 - 16/1 to win it ...

I think that club chairmen are going to vote on it, but the consensus is that the rule will remain as it is

I'm not so sure about this. Why would the Pozzos give valuable assets from one club to another? Udinese will surely need to replace those players - by giving their players away and then having to buy replacements Udinese could end up in financial trouble.

What you suggest makes no commercial sense to me.

As regards the OP, I can't believe some people are betting on who will get promoted next season. Fools and their money...

APM, I think the point Wizard was trying to make was that if they closed the loan loophole, they'd simply "sell" from one club to another at a price resembling peanuts, and then "buy" them back a year later...

It's exactly the same concept as what they're doing now.

... what happens if you lease the furtniture to the tenants in your second house and also give them an 'option to buy' at the end of the lease?

I think that's wrong. The players are contracted to the clubs not the pozzos. Each club is a separate legal entity.
