I'd rather have taken the 4 points than finished up slightly less near the bottom. However you slice it, though, it was not a vintage year for NE footy, as you say :(

I think the pack is a very scraggy one this year and top dogs are more like scuffy hounds.

A year for both of us to forget but at least we will always have the dirty knees derby to reflect upon? :emoticon-0116-evilg

The feeling of top dogs will never outweigh the shear brilliance of turning Newcastle over 3-0 on their own turf

Not here to really take the piss to be honest. Just wanted to wallow with some (attempted) light humour! I see PDC has rattled some cages. Things could be looking up for you guys next season.

I agree. If we finished 6th and you took 4 points it would still be our year and vice versa.

However to both finish bottom half, well to occupy the two positions directly above the bottom 3 means bragging rights goes to you boys for the Derby games.

As others have said though it's been a disrgaceful, embarrasing season for both teams. Glad we both stopped up and would love to see both teams sat 7th/8th next season adding extra spice to the derbies.

This is the fact side of it, I'd not swap that 3-0 for being slightly less appalingly placed.

For me, just glad we both survived, and look forward to good times under Paolo, and big changes.

What I wouldn't want, is to be going into next season with the same players, or the same manager that had been unable to halt the slide <whistle>

The league points tally is all yours QWOP mate, the match tally is ours though. :p
Been a Annus Horribulus for both teams league wise, but looking forward to next season now, I think the future is looking brighter under our new manager.
I certainly wouldn't feel that way with Partridge in charge, and as you know that isn't just a dig at you skunks.
I really don't rate him as a manager. (That would stand where ever he was.)

Top dogs? In my opinion it has been a catastrophic season for us, but an equally 'horse punchingly' bad season for our neighbours.
