Personally, I'm excited that we've got a player that can play either. He's had trouble being in a partnership Saylor, but the bloke has always shown talent.

Personally, though I'd love to see him more as a LB.

We've never been strong in that position since Enrique left.

I'd personally prefer us to sign another CB in the summer like Douglas or Sakho, and play this -

    Mbiwa----Douglas---Saylor---Debuchy

Mbiwa has something all our recent LB's haven't had, and that's tactical and positional awareness, and also the ability to read what everyone around him is doing.

That lovely touch to take him past the Arsenal defence and play that great pass across the ground to find Cisse in space.

He can play as a CB if we need him, but I'd love him to be a fullback more often.

Don't get me wrong, we should sign another fullback for squad depth, but I want Mbiwa as first choice fullback. He's always looked better there anyway.

Right back (he looks a bit uncomfortable on the left at times)

Can't see him working there at all, and a perfect comparison would be Mbia at QPR. Quality CB, awful Defensive mid. They're very similar.

I don't think Mbiwa would be comfortable in the middle of the midfield.

Just a dream scenario that only exists in my head, where he and Sissoko sit as two box-to-box midfielders, with Mbiwa being the more DM of the two, and Cabaye just in front of them making the World's strongest midfield triangle. The reason I like him there is because he has the ability to take his nearest man out of the game. It's a necessity in a winger/attacking full back, so that a cross can come in. But I just wondered if we had flat back four and two dm's like those two, it could mean a really strong counter attacking formation. Both he and Sissoko can comfortably carry the ball forward. Tiote/Perch cannot.

Thought he had a decent game yesterday, constantly getting down the line with pace. For me, LB

    Fullback.
    He was a beast yesterday.
He can of course play across the back.

I forgot about the bonus of Santon on the wings next season. I think we need a first choice left back in the summer <ok>
