Hello all. Sir Alex Ferguson. Paul Scholes. Michael Owen. Jamie Carragher. David Beckham. Hucks for Manager. After the magnificent contribution these greats have made to football over the years they are all retiring. But it's fair to say they all went out with a bang, as of course does the CPL after Norwich's spectacular victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Without further ado, it's time to give out some honours to the greats of the Canaries' Prediction League, who, hopefully, will still be playing next season. We'll start with the CPL Cup Final. Now then. This is kind of awkward, as both KillerCanaryKris and RiverEndRick scored the minumum three points, as shown below: CPL Cup Final Result KillerCanaryKris 3 - 3 RiverEndRick However, there can only be one winner, and as Kris predicted a 1-0 win for Man. City, as opposed to the 2-0 win for Man. City predicted by Rick, Kris wins on the basis that his score-line was closest to the real thing. I hope that's a reasonable reason and explanation. On with the presentations then, and, as we now know, the CPL Cup goes to KillerCanaryKris. Now for the Wooden Spoon award. This, I think it's fair to say, has never really worked, as many people predict once or twice and never return. This year's honour, however, goes to canarian. The Division One title now, which goes to tipsycanary. Congratulations. It's been a decent year for KillerCanaryKris, who picks up the Runners-Up award for the CPL Premier as well. Now for the big one... The CPL Premier trophy goes to... You can already see him celebrating in his seat... After being pipped at the post so dramatically last year... It's Maestro! Please, join me in congratulating all our winners in the comments. Here's those final tables: CPL Premier 1. Maestro..................... Upon making the request that he would, I felt it would be nice to look back in a few years time and see all the previous CPL winners. He's probably going to remove the wooden spoon though. I'm also unsure as to whether rbf will start with the 16 surviving members of the CPL Premier and the 4 promoted players from CPL Division One in the top tier next year. Maybe he could clarify here, but I will stress that it's entirely his decision. We Are Premier League, HFM.
Cheers Hucks. 3rd time lucky for me after blowing my lead in the last 2 seasons. A big hoooooge shout of appreciation for you hard work over the last 3 years with this competition. It is part of my pre-match rituals now. Cheers once again Hucks
Thanks Maestro. I was going to give you reputation for winning the CPL like I did with 737 last year but I don't think you'll particularly notice.
Gutted to lose out on automatic promo Hucks - are there any play-offs lol ? Thanks for doing this and good luck to RBF doing it next year.
Well done Maestro But i'm happy with a champions league spot ! Cheers for all the hard work Hucks i've really enjoyed the CPL
Well done Maestro well deserved as you were at the top throughout bar the first two months where I peaked Thanks for running this Hucks an awful lot of work for you whilst being good fun for us Good luck RBF taking up the mantle next season
Not going to divulge too much Hucks, you´ll have to wait and see, each manager has his own ideas and style Enjoy your summer.
Thanks for all the kind words fellas. As some of you have suggested, I look forward to being a mere participant next year, and look forward to seeing what rbf will do with the competition!
