Some people aren't bothered but then others like to show some passion, doesn't make them 'namby pamby tarts'. Thats half of our problem people not caring less about stuff, one of the reasons why the atmosphere at the KC is so **** 99 percent of the time.

Suarez and Bale are brilliant players with faults but another great talent like Fellaini should be despised more for his forearm and elbow head high challenges that are deliberately aimed to injure opposition players.Diving is rampant now in English soccer and it needs strong control from referees,if a penalty isn't awarded then a red card should be( yellow is not good enough ,let the penalty equal the crime) .It would cause minor controversy when first instigated but would eventually eradicate the attempted cheating.
Choice ............DIVE to win a penalty or to receive a RED card = risky strategy.

So yesterday when Bale was manhandled to the floor and then unfairly booked for diving, you would instead have sent him off? There is actually very little simulation in football, most of it is exaggeration which is not an offence but it is pretty much impossible for a referee to tell the difference in real time.

No I would have given a penalty. The referee was at fault.

Exactly, but the ref gets it wrong in a fairly large proportion of those cases, so if a red card was given it would punish the team even more when they did nothing wrong

To be fair from the camera angle which the ref viewed the incident the lad looked to hit the deck far too easily. The ref was near the centre circle when the 'foul' was being committed, so I don't think he should have been in a position to give a penalty let alone a yellow card.

So stop the clock and use referrals if the ref is unsure there will be no more play acting if strong measures are taken for a trial season. The play acting ,diving, cheating has to be stopped both for the referees sake the supporters and the future of the game.

But then Football will turn in to Basketball, with timeouts every couple of minutes and the game stopping and starting constantly.

Agree with this completely. Bale is fine but all the other names you mentioned are right up there.

And this. Can't stand Holt. I'd also throw Anton Ferdinand in there and I agree with the Fellaini suggestion too.

Who do you actually support? You obviously have some kind of PL allegiance as well as City. You're always confessing your hatred of Man United players and defending the likes of Suarez so I thought it was Liverpool but earlier on this thread you call Van Persie a 'judas ****', so Arsenal?

I thought we were talking about starting matches? Correct me if Im wrong. Silvio Berlusconi has talked of sacking Allegri purely because he doesnt start him.

Edit - I just checked and he was benched for Fiorentina, Napoli and Pescara from your list but admittedly that's not as many as I remembered and I was wrong about not playing for 6 weeks but it was still only 1 game short of half. I guess I shouldve checked rather than listen to Berlusconi's rants!

Are you saying it should be a choice between red card or penalty?

If so what about the player who goes down (not a dive) under a legit tackle should he get a red card?

I can't stand Manchester United. I like Suarez he's a nice guy, I've talked to him when Uruguay have played against Ecuador and he always has time for a chat. In addition Van Persie left his club after they stood up for him when he was injured.

You're allegations that I support someone else are strange.

I've talked to him twice, he was very open and chatted with me for a good 20 minutes in the hotel lobby. He's really different to the Suarez you see on the pitch.

I hold my hands up if it's wrong. I've just suspected for ages that you're also a Liverpool fan based on your passionate hatred of Man U and the stances you've taken in certain debates. That Van Persie comment threw me though. Are you saying he shouldn't have left Arsenal for a much better side? How can anyone begrudge him that?
