getting linked in the press today to Alex baptise , and a Brazilian striker in the Russian league called wanderson
Wanderson (according to the irrefutable source wiki) is a George Boyd, Robert koren, sone aluko behind the striker type, not what we need, so ill call the bollocks on that one.
Which paper? In other news Phil Neville may retire instead: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...sion-life-Everton--I-retire-couple-weeks.html
Quite a lot linked today then: Rhodes (again) Austin (again) Schmeichel (again) Odemwingie (again) Baptiste D.Simpson Wanderson Welliton You'd think there might actually be something in the ones that are getting repeated, as there must be a reason papers keep reiterating the stories. As for the whole list, I wouldn't be unhappy with all/any of them signing.
Isn't it nice being back in the premier league, random names pulled out of the hat by journo's with nothing to base them on. I think we've already been linked with more people in 2 days than we got linked with all last summer transfer window by the papers
Two weeks and the transfers will be in full flow, but hope for news that Chester, Rosey, Oxley and Macca have signed before then. Some official clarification on Boyd and Elmo before then would also be nice.
Sunday People (yuk) and London Mail (oh dear) has Hull City close to a deal with FAT Blackpool centre back Alex Baptiste. He will be cheap and has that years PL experience with Blackpool. Better option imo than Curtis Davies who look Norwich City bound anyway this summer. If so, lets have Michael Turner back full stop.
If you want to mention unrealistic players, Arshavin is now available on a free. Although he is 31!!!
Think this is one that could be of particular interest to Lilo Galante. He's an admirer, shall we say...
And against us he looked absolutely terrible. I'd rather we went for Curtis Daies, who has a lot more Premier league experience and to be fair, is probably a better footballer.
To be fair I think we should have given a new deal to either McShane or Faye but not both. Then we should have replaced the departing defender with someone decent. Hope Bruce isn't here next season as I think a back 4 is the way to go.
Anyone could argue they were our best defenders this year! They was solid reliable and the only defenders to pop up with a goal or two. Wasn't Faye one of out top scorers on 4?
I hear what you are saying but I don't think Faye has the legs for it anymore and McShane, well he was a calamity in the EPL last time (Apart from the goal vs Liverpool). I just feel we need a stable rock in defence. A Michael Turner.
Left behind and did not make the travelling party to Tottenham yesterday. Dont want these types of players at Hull City. In fact all the players that Di Canio allows to leaves should be left to others to sign up. O'Neil and now Di Canio have struggled with them. But for Wigans charity @ home the past few weeks then Slumberland would be a championship club now. Never ever should either of these be brought to Hull City. Overrated and we can do better anyway imo. Carl Jenkinson yes but Simpson can go back down south as he wants to do. imo. The ones that Di Canio has slagged off and allows to leave you can. In fact we should look elsewhere for players. Kilgallon and any other Di Canio rejects can happy go elsewhere - just no here please. If Norwich get Curtis Davies then i would guess that Turner could be allowed to go. Norwich are top heavy with defenders.
A Michael Turner, but not Michael Turner. We've been there and yes he was good for us then, I think there are better defenders around now
