Watching Sky Football First and for some reason it has missed the start of the second half up to just after the Crouch goal, was it only me?
Actually it looked a lot better in retrospect, I know we didn't win, but that was more down to their excellent defending and good saves by their GK. Their goal was helped by Shaw slipping in exactly the same spot that Lallana did in the first half, the commentator said that Poch asked for the pitch to be watered at half time because it getting slippery as it was drying out, I would have thought that the wetting would make it worse?
The commentator mentioned "Here come the Red Arrows" comment for one of our moves in the first half when we attacked on the break.
I don't know if it has been posted yet, but"Teddy" it has been tweeted was the unborn son of Richard Chaplow, it died at 8 months and Lambo dedicated the goal to his memory. Perhaps someone can clarify.
Ah, that sucks. I love how close the core of our squad are that came up from L1 and the Championship. I guess that was what the black armbands were for as well.
Hey Guys just got back off Holiday......I got on occasionally risking my wife's wrath......so could anyone bring me up to date. Missed the team news etc so can someone put some light on the fact that Boruc was not in goal? I see my beginning of the season expected placement for saints was spot on. well done Saints wasn't too bad a season now bring on the transfers..........!!!!!!!
As usual we don't know the facts about Boruc, all sorts of rumours, that it was KDs last performance, that Artur didn't want to sit on the bench if he wasn't picked, e.t.c. The truth is that we haven't been told anything so we simply don't know. He was there in the lap of honour looking reasonably happy, at the end he was standing on his own mobile phoning before walking down the tunnel.
I would guess Artur must have had a knock, as he would otherwise have started. Now he is the established no. 1 GK I could understand why he wouldn't have wanted to be on the bench if SKD was playing for sentimental reasons, but that doesn't seem to be a good enough reason to drop your first choice goalie.
