What needs to be done needs to be done Poolie.

Ellis is a self made multi-billionaire, he will see this venture as a blot if he doesn't make a mark.

The appointment of a director of football points to recruitment, I think this summer we will have a real go, and Paolo is the man to deliver.

a lot different to man city isnt it , all we have is dross who cant win a game never mind a dressing room.
And how come the same posters are now saying in pdc we trust a few weeks ago were in mon we trust , it once again proves how bad things were , all pdc is doing is implementing a standard used at most clubs .

in pdc i have a renewed opptimisim in the future

Very interesting the bit about injured players turning their phone off and not talking to the doctor. Almost like some players would prefer to be injured??

It sound like a complete shambles. I am amazed we have stayed up. Shows why Fergie and Redknapp have been so successful, they would not stand for any of this.

I've suspected that all was not well at the club for a while, but never did i imagine the mismanagement of the club was as bad as PDC has claimed here.

Previous managers really do have a lot to answer for

Holy ****. Not happy doesn't cover it really.

That man is totally pissed with the players and after we finished 4th bottom and the ****tiest of seasons then no wonder. It has really made me thiunk abut what was going on with MoN and the stories about him never being there look to have much substance.

There is a culture of couldnt give a **** at SAFC and that has shown in the abject performances at times. 4th bottom and a fly's fanny hair away from being a championship club.

Go for it Paolo and change everything.

Wow what an interview I ****ing love this guy. I agree 100% with everything Paulo said. Too many players have lived on easy street for too ****ing long to the detriment of our clubs and it's long suffering fans.
For the money they are paid they can at least show some ****ing respect for the rules and recognize the privileged. position they are in.
I think we've all known for sometime that there was something rotten in the mentality of our club which has prevented any real progress despite a good deal of money being spent.
I was a huge supporter of O'Neil and was gutted when he failed but Ellis Short has pulled a blinder by getting Paulo in. I'm a socialist but Paulo is definitely my favourite right winger!
Oh did anybody notice he outed one of our players? When he spoke about them going on holiday with their "wives, boyfriends, sons"! Wonder who it could be? My money's on Cuellar with that beard.

Great interview. You can see this has been building. Now we know why. Arrogant overpaid footballers. Let's hope Paolo can sort them out.

I think he will be looking to 5-6 first team footballers. Problem is we can't ship that many as we are so thin.

Major rebuilding job. Said this last pre season.

It's a stunning, candid interview, you get the impression he has been waiting for the season to end to get it out there.

Give him his due, his cards are on the table, that only leaves players and Short to play their hands.

The daft thing of it all to me as an old guy, is some players are picking up their pay regardless, just seems daft he is reintroducing common sense and not hardline discipline.

At last, a bit of honesty from a manger. no puches pulled and no excuses made. PDC is not gonna take any crap or listen to excuses. How the **** did we get into this position? something's been very very wrong for a long time. No more though, judging by that interview. Things are definitely changing. And about time

I think Short will back him because he is the first complete Short managerial signing without guidance from Quinney and he will want him to succeed more than any of the others. I think he backed the others to a point but he sees something special in DiCanio and I think he is right. I hope I am not wrong, but I think SAFC have managed to get a special one in Pauolo and he could be an inspiration. A small part of me worries that he could explode in a self-destructive fit of temper but I hope not. Energy, passion, vision, commitment and drive. He has them all. I cannot wait for next season.

You would think that the club captain would have influence with the players and show them as representatives of the club how they should behave off the pitch, on the training ground and on the pitch.

    Oh wait......

this discipline thing. If you have your own personal discipline no matter how much a task master de canio is it will not bother you. We need the right players with the right personality then there is little need to be a task master ???

Fantastic interview by PDC. He really cares about this club and I am sure if we can recruit the players that can work in his strict regime, I think he will be a huge success. It does appear that the current group of players don't give a rats arse and this season it really shows. other than Bardsley, he should name and shame these prima donnas. Maybe then, the next club they get employed by, they will show a little more professionalism
