To be fair it was an insult to do it, anyhow we finished on 41 points in ****ing 16th place.

Alan Pardew reportedly said after today's game that he wished he had some quality on the bench. This man is dangerous managing any team and should not be managing professionally at the top level. The confidence of Marveaux and especially Vurnon Anita (who played 9 successful passes in the final third, more than anybody else) must be in complete tatters under the management of Alan Pardew. Alan's man management skills are so bad I feel for the players and his tactics are frustrating to say the least. I know we won't get a new manager who deserves a job with a good Prem team but it's obvious we need major surgery done this summer if we're to have a good season and refrain from any humiliation and relegation battles.

Nowt wrong with telling the truth, there was no game changing talent on the bench. <ok> I assumed he was talking strikers which we've lacked all season.

Er yes, it is the fault of 'Pards'. He picks his favourite players every week, whether they're terrible or not (usually the former). These failures are undroppable - that is so Pardew's terrible decision making.

Does his love for Jonas annoy anybody else? I want Jonas sold badly, Marv, Fergie & Anita are far more technically superior.

Yes, seems to be the same with Tiote, though Tiote does seem to be finding his form, shame the season is now over.

The likes of Tiote, Sissoko and Cabaye are quality players but would only succeed if they are played to their strengths, needs a good manager for this.

That is true, however Sissoko's heart isn't in it, should be sold after he left training after 15 minutes.

These two performed under him ok last year. They should have been dropped for under performing, that was the error Pardew made. He saw them as blue chip and put his faith in them. Nothing to do with management, they just performed very poorly. Tiote can't pass the ball anymore. People can blame Pardew for a lot of things but when a player can't make simple 5 yard passes, I think you have to draw the line.

Think that's unfair. He made 3 poor passes today. One was a 10 yard pass, one was 20 yard pass, and one was an aimless long ball. The rest of the time he was immense and instrumental in our build-up from the back, especially first half.

Thought he played well first half, but was gash second. Very nearly set up Walcott too and nearly killed any faint hope we had. I also think his last two performances were ok. Sorry though his season as a whole has been a shambles. His passing has been dreadful and the amount of possession he has conceded is scary. I wouldn't like to see the stats on him getting caught in possession or his pass completion rate. Just a terrible season.

Have to admit that Tiote blew hot and cold. Some good tackles, work rate but caught in possession a lot. Arsenal were really up for though with 2 sometimes 3 players closing down fast, especially on Ben Arfa.
Just glad the season is over and I can relax and hope for a good transfer window. Please get them in early and get ready for day one , do not wait for the last minute in the hope of saving a couple of thousands.

Not sure where I'd go to look for caught in possession stats <laugh>, but his pass completion rate this season hasn't been bad at all, when last I checked. It wasn't as good as previous seasons, but it wasn't bad. Personally, I think everyone thinks he's been crap because he's been below a very high bar he's set for himself, not because he has been poor overall. He's had a few very good games, and his form has returned towards the end. Today he was epic, and ran further than anybody else on the pitch by miles (literally). It's got to be hard physically keeping up that level of performance whilst being so tired from all the effort, and around the 65th minute he started slipping up a bit. Anita comes on fresh as a daisy and makes some passes in the final third... doesn't make him a better player.

What I really liked about his performance today was that he battled and dominated in the challenge with taller players, and stopped numerous attacks to set-up our counter-style. He was nothing short of superb until he started tiring. No wonder we had no chances second half, with Arsenal no longer attacking after 53rd minute... you can't physically counter a defending team.

His shooting stats are hilarious though (or maddening, depending on how aggressive and obsessed you are). That has probably peeved a few people into giving him lower ratings than he's deserved.

I'm waiting for the last day of the transfer window in August and say don't get an a decent striker Pardew comes out with 'We have Campbell coming through and it will be like a new signing!'

If we stick with him we need bodies in the summer. If we don't get adequate reinforcements we will have a bad start and he will be gone by October. We will do nothing but stagnate under him and I would love it if we got Benitez in but we won't.

Can't see us getting Benitez in, he is now hot property outside of Chelsea and Old Trafford.

We are watching different players, he has been terrible this season. Not by his own standards but by any standards. First half today and his last two games he looked a bit more like his old self but otherwise, just garbage. I can get past the shooting, he is a midfield destroyer. Its his inability to pass the ball 5 yards and losing possession in dangerous areas I cant deal with. I love the bloke but I don't know whats happened. Its no surprise his downturn has coincided with Cabayes. Cabaye is fairweather and needs someone to his work. When Tiote can't even manage his own work its no surprise Cabaye has wilted.

There is no way his pass completion stats will be decent. its probably around 70% at best. I do blame Pards slightly because he has encouraged him to expend his game. Tiote is a very simplistic player who needs to concentrate on "win the ball and find the nearest" player. Pardew made him believe he could be more and he has suffered ever since.

Well, considering that is coming from someone who wants Pardew out after our amazing fifth last year, what can I expect of such a short-term fan <laugh>

Also, you think Cisse is good, so automatically you're wrong... that's right, welcome to big school WP, headmaster - Gandalf, headmistress - PAIN :emoticon-0172-mooni:emoticon-0172-mooni:emoticon-0172-mooni
