If I was Steve Bruce I'd be looking at getting Danny Simpson on a free. I'd also ask how much Arsenal want for Carl Jenkinson, always rated him.

He's 25 a bit late to start being disciplined don't you think.

I wouldnt touch any Sunderland rejects, i would rather sign a promising young player and play them.
I would go for: Andros Townsend (possible loan), Shaun Maloney, Peter Odemwingie, Charlie Austin (Only for £4-5million maximum), Vito Mannone, Curtis Davies and Jake Livermore (loan)

You say promising young play, then suggest Maloney, Odemwingie and Davies who are all close to 30.

I said that i would rather play a promising young player rather than a Sunderland reject. I didnt say that i would only sign young players as i believe that you need a mixture of proven quality (Odemwingie, Davies, Maloney) alongside the younger players

So why not Sunderland players? They have some quality players there in Larsson, Cattermole, Mignolet etc.

Which is odd, given that he was born in Tashkent, (then USSR)

I agree, I'd much sooner play a Wigan or Birmingham reject than a Sunderland one.

We have no chance in getting Mignolet or Larsson. Cattermole is a walking red card, something we cannot afford next season. I also think that we have better players than Bramble and Bardsley - for example, Hobbs, Chester and elmo (if we get him)- and there are better alternatives on the market. I know that there is an argument that elmo is a Sunderland reject, but he proved himself last season, and from what i have seen of Bardsley in the past week, i dont want players like him anywhere near the club, considering he isnt going to set the world alight.

Davies and Maloney have been playing well this season. Have you seen Maloney's goals??

I'm not saying we will sign them, I am saying Sunderland have a good team. The players we have from there currently, Elmo and Meyler, have come good.

Sunderland came 17th this season. I want us to be bringing in players who are hungry, have a bit of quality and want to prove themselves, not the likes of Bramble and Bardsley who are exact replicas of who we brought in last time we were in the premier league. Last time we brought in average players who were found out after a few months, this time we need players who have quality and who are going to get us over the line in terms of staying up. Personally, i think that Davies would be a good addition, and would want to prove himself in the top flight, the type of player that we need.

I totally agree, I'm not saying we should sign Sunderlands players, only that you shouldn't discount them so easily.

Yeah, i wont discount all the players that they have, i just think that it would be better to sign players who have quality, but havent had the opportunity to prove themselves in the premier league yet.

"Defenders Phil Bardsley and Matthew Kilgallon, who were pictured in a casino in midweek, were not included in Di Canio's squad for Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Tottenham".

Wasn't someone on here interested in signing Killgallon?

I suspect he might be available having fallen out with "Il Duce" ;)
