In what sense? That Germany have had one great season? English sides have won 3 Champions Leagues since a German side last won one. Whilst only Barcelona have represented Spain in finals in the last 10 years, meanwhile England have had 4 separate sides all represent us and 3 win it.

In a national team sense I'd agree but in teams I would not. If you put Villa or Wigan up against a side at the bottom of the Bundesliga they'd beat them comfortably and most likely trounce them.

In that Germany have risen while England have fallen? Bayern have always been up there and Dortmund have been doing better than them domestically up until this season.

Real Madrid have made the semi finals in the last 3 seasons.

You're so wrong when you say Wigan or Villa would trounce the relegated sides. Have you even seen them play?

Besides, you'd argue that night is day whatever I write.

Name another German or Spanish side that has done that, we have four teams that could make the finals. Spain have 2, Germany also have 2 at a push. If any of our top 5 were in another league, they would be challenging for the title.

Arsenal and Spurs wouldn't be challenging for the title in the Bundesliga, no way, they would get smashed by Bayern and BVB, prob Schalke, Bayer Lev, would finish higher also than them

    Pure ignorance <laugh>

The difference between the 3rd/4th placed teams in England and the 3rd/4th placed teams in Spain and Germany is the amount of money they get.

Athletico Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Bayer, Schalke ect.

They don't have nearly as much money as Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and the like.

By your logic, Spurs could go Spain and win Liga BBVA, ahead of Athletico, Barca and Madrid or to Germany and win the Bundesliga ahead of Dortmund, Bayern and Schalke? Absolutely no chance.

    Sorry, but I disagree.

I think (based on current squads/managers) only Man United with Fergie could go and even challenge.

That's just an assertion though? I provided the actual stats to back up that England have outperformed the other major nations, you haven't provided any counter evidence. Real getting to a few semi-finals?

Yes, I watch the Bundesliga regularly, and the standard outside the top clubs is generally very poor, hence why Bayern win by great margins some weeks, which is almost unheard of in the Premier League.

I don't seek to disagree with you, but when you post that English sides have been 'outclassed' in Europe despite is being the best nation in Europe in terms of club football in recent years, I have to disagree, as you're wrong.

    But i'm not? <laugh>

One winner in 4 seasons and not looking like getting near another one, whenever they've got close English sides have been blown away.

Based on the money these clubs get, we've a **** record in Europe in recent years.

Put Bayern in our league or Barca or Madrid or Dortmund they'd win it with ease.

English clubs have not performed in Europe as they used to/as their rivals have.

In terms of equivalently placed sides I believe:

    Reading would beat Furth.

    Villa would beat Dusseldorf.

    Newcastle would beat Augsburg.

    Swansea would beat Nuremberg.

    Liverpool would beat Hamburg.

    Arsenal would beat Schalke.

    Chelsea would beat Leverkusen.

Bayern are probably better than United at the minute.

Of course, they're generalisations and anyone can beat anyone on their day but for the most part I certainly believe Premier League clubs are better than their Bundesliga counterparts.

only cos Jose has messed it up, and pissed every player off, even his own Countryman Ronaldo, but the worst thing he did was drop Casillas

You're a lost cause. This is going nowhere and that post is pure bollocks so might as well stop now.

If you think the best record of any nation in Europe is a **** record then okay, I'm never going to change your opinion.

Just so you know, Schalke won their Champions League Group over Arsenal, and did took 4 points from them.

Schalke are much better than Arsenal.
