So ****ing proud of the lads today. Our performance had everything, grit, determantion and players literally putting their bodies on the line for the cause. Every single one of them can be proud of the effort made today. They have listened to Di Canio and I hope they enjoy their well deserved extended rest.

Colback today has been absolutely phenomenal, he give everything, blood sweat and tears. After this performance, I think Rose will not be coming now and Jack had made the position his own.

Mignolet yet again has been absolutely superb, held everything and made some immense saves. World class, we must offer him a big contract to try and secure his services.

N'Diaye, this bloke just gets better and better, next season I think we can look forward to some game dominating performances from him. Great player in the making.

Wickham, a special mention to him today. I have always championed him and his performance today has shown his potential. Great movement and strong on the ball. Would love to see him get a more important role next season. I'm still sure that 8m was well spent on him.

Overall, a dogged performance but more importantly Di Canio has shown his worth today. Great motivation and great tactics. You can see the players are responding to him. I am now going into next season full of optimism and hope. KTF

    HAWAY THE LADS!

Well, no shame in losing to a goal like that.

Even God aka Mig couldn't do it.

Agree with you though mate, I'm proud to see the lads fight and battle the odds throughout.

Thats all we've wanted all season. A fighting team. We are extremely short of quality, but effort today was 110%. Di Canio cant take pride in them tonight. Colback was phenomenal, and I pray to god we have Migs next season.

The only thing we could've done with the goal was push him down the outside. That's hypercritical though and it was the kid standing between >£50m of player and our goal and you can't blame him for being beaten by that strike

Edit: really proud of the side. Brilliant performance. Colback was outstanding. Wish Vaughan hadn't been so bloody stupid as it could've made a difference 11 v 11

He's world class though, certainly in the top 10 players in the world. Maybe top 5, that's how good he is.

He will be away this summer, to a champions league team.

Mitchell was trying to force him on his right, but a player in his first professional year against imo a top 5 player... nowt much he could have done when Bale cut in on his left. And it was always going to take class like that to break us down.

On a brighter note, the look on Levy's face was priceless! He knows he's going to lose Bale now, that kid deserves to be playing CL football. Hopefully not to City as they are a mess, but someone like Utd, Chelski, or a German team like Dortmund or more realistically Bayern

    Top 5:

    Messi
    Ronaldo
    Falcao
    ???
    Bale

To be honest, I think he comes after Messi and Ronaldo but didn't want to commit myself incase I had missed anyone.

    He's better then Falcao.
