Well done GJ and all at Yeovil, the club and Town. Split feelings for me as i would of loved to see GJ back down visiting Ashton Gate next season, but oh well maybe soon!
Stick that up your pipe at smoke it. How the powers have changed. Full respect go and do the business in the championship. Well done Gary you deserve it. Better feeling than last time out.
Yep a big well done to them. Everyone would of laughed in their face at the beginning on the season if they said "we'll be replacing Bristol city in the championship next year". We need to replicate what they have done and hopefully we can play them in the championship
I think everybody at both Bristol City and Yeovil Town got what they deserved this season. I hope, as a City fan, the meatheads who wanted GJ out spend some time away from their cider to reflect on that. Congratulations Gary and the Yeovil boys. Don't mess it up by being too successful next season.
yeah, dont think they'll do aswell as we did in their first season, so they wont have to worry about bloody silly over expectations!
they sold 17,000 tickets the town's population is something like 40,000, so the other 23,000 are either breaking into someone's house or sleeping off their white lightning on a bench ( Yeovil is such a **** hole!)
Ouch but well done to the Glovers and GJ. Makes sense about all of our posters who said be careful what you wish for when the majority, including me, were calling for Gary's head. Good luck to them and it makes me even madder about the way our club was handled by the management and I will not make any excuses for my thoughts. A bad team was made worse by bad decisions made by a bad management group and that's the end of the story.
Must say what a fantastic achievement by GJ and his staff, who could have envisaged that happening at the beginning of the season. Lets hope Gary learns from his last experience in the Championship, can't believe Yeovil are the top team in the west country, see what you can achieve with the right manager.
They could be above us for a few years as well, I'm not expe ting City to pull up any trees next year.
The day he was sacked...I said & stated on the old 606...GJ will come back to haunt us!!! I have been proved right, GJ isthe best manager we have had since the great Alan Dicks. Hope those who hounded him out of Ashton Gate are hanging their heads in shame, that goes for some of the players & foolhardy supporters who thought they knew best...long live GJ, hope he & Yeovil have a great season next year, they will certainly surprise a few teams in the Championship!
Well done Yeovil!- It does seem incredible that Gary Johnson has swapped places with us and so have Jamie McAllister and Joe Edwards- What with Brett Pitman also coming up with Bouremouth as well. Yeovil will be interesting next year. Their ground is small, and their average attendance is a little over 4,000-Good luck to them all the same and enjoy the beer tonight
I don't often agree with you but this time you are spot on...... When he was being hounded out by the haters, I did say be careful for what you wish for and he was booted when we were 10th in the league, with many coming out with all the bullshit. "those were the days" Good luck to GJ, I bet Yeovil fans won't be so quick to hound out the best manager we had since AD.
As you well know, he fired himself by assaulting one of the players but he was lucky enough to be given the option to jump before he was pushed... He had run out ideas in the NPC and I don't expect him to do any better than mid-table next year, AT BEST...
