We're playing reasonably - but Sunderland are parking the bus and we look like we're trying too hard.
Newcastle are giving Arsenal a good game. Arsenal have created little. What an anti-climax if both games finished 0-0!
Really pissed off. I still expect you to beat the Geordies though, so our result would be somewhat academic.
I'd take that We've been playing far too conservatively in the 1st half, bit nervy but to be expected I suppose. I fully expect us to step it up in the 2nd half.
I understand that penalties are a legitimate way of scoring and most teams get a few goals by that method each season. I can't help feeling that if you're not allowed penalties than you don't get quite as many goals as you should. Even the second (handball) could easily have been given - perhaps someone could remind me of the rules, but hitting the guys arm stopped it going in the goal!!!
The gymnastics were more in disbelief at the ref's decision. He didn't have much choice but to go down like a sack of spuds with Larsson pushing down on him. A disgrace.
Bring on the beast, Cherio Any Mariner, next stop Sunday League. But really, how long would it have taken the forth official to have a look at the reply, awaard Spurs a penalty (which we would have missed), sent off Larsen and got on with the match. Proper sports have a video ref.
I'm feeling ok. We are all over Sunderland and should be winning. I can see a goal coming soon. Newcastle have played well against you guys and are really giving you a good game. - they could well get something if it carries on like this.
Absolutely. To have so much hanging on 'opinion' is pathetic. And yes, by the letter of the law it should have been a red card too. Anyone still claiming the bad results even themselves out over the season? Anybody still believe the table doesn't lie?
