In this instance it means using tone of voice to indicate honesty or sarcasm which are totally opposed to each other!

Thanks NZ for finding this - I've played it in full screen and frame by frame and it does appear that it clips his shoulder as he is going down to spread himself so very good double save (the other with his toes!) but both shots were so close to going in - it has to have been fate
