No need, I know where all the bloody pubs are When we stop in Worcester on the way to Villa or WBA all the silly buggers walk up to the Weatherspoons in the town. Someone else takes a shortcut to a nice quiet pub with sky sports, lovely grub, plenty of room and not a load of tits queuing at the bar
I don't know what it's called but I'm thinking it's the one on the corner as you drive into Worcester, just down the road from the Mc Donald's in the town Centre.
Thank god for pubs , otherwise I couldn't think of nothing worse spending two hours in Worcester window shopping
Good luck with you book. My favourite pub before and after a Fulham game is the Bricklayers Arms in Putney, near Putney bridge. It's excellent for real ale (normally 10 ales on for a match day) For lager drinkers it aint so good. I think they just do an English lager, can't remember the name. Away fans are always welcome and there is always a good mix. I'm going to Swansea tomorrow so I hope to find a pub just as good.
Fulham, he'll never write it. He spend's way to much time in them, so by the time he will remember to start writing anything he's too pissed. I think he needs a non drinker with him so he can take notes. If you fancy a pint before the game, one right by the ground and away friendly, and if you see a pissed head with glasses on then that's Dilli. Send him a PM he might meet up with you. He did that with some of the Chelsea lads.
After last week's exertions in Magalluf I'm thinking of going teetotal. Couldn't believe some guys (not our group). They were out drinking at 10 am and just kept going. Can't do it anymore. Scots were the worst followed by the Scousers.
Was in the Golden Lion at Fulham last season but the buggers wouldn't serve us this season so we had to go to a surfy's pub down the road
Kj, when we hit kavos last year, we were drinking at 9am and went through the day until 2/3am in the morNing. Awesome fun.
Anyway, back to the football! Just nicked this from the BBC site - makes interesting reading. Head-to-head Swansea have beaten Fulham in all three of their Premier League meetings, conceding just one goal. Prior to that, the Swans had beaten Fulham just once in 13 meetings in all competitions dating back to 1990. This is the 63rd meeting between the sides. Fulham have won 30 times, Swansea 22 and there have been 10 draws. Swansea Swansea have taken just six points from their last nine games (W1 D3 L5), putting them below the likes of Aston Villa, Sunderland, Norwich and Wigan in the form table. The Swans have not beaten a side in the top half of the table since defeating Arsenal on 1 December. If they beat Fulham on Sunday it will mean that each of their last six league wins have been against clubs now in the bottom half of the table. Swansea are one of only two teams this season yet to win a penalty (alongside Tottenham). Charlton in 2004-05 were the last side to go a whole Premier League season without winning a penalty. Just 11% of Swansea's goals (five of 47) have come from set-pieces this season, which is the lowest ratio in the Premier League. Swansea have scored the highest percentage of goals (70%) in the second half of matches in the league this season. Fulham Fulham have lost five successive Premier League games. They have only lost six in a row once before in the competition - between February and March 2002. Eleven of Dimitar Berbatov's 14 league goals for Fulham have come before half-time. Only Clint Dempsey has scored more goals (17 last season) in a single Premier League season for the club. They have thrown away 23 points from winning positions and gained just five from losing positions this season. Fulham's record of four points from their last eight games puts them 19th in the form table with only relegated QPR below them. Going for a Swans win but, to be honest, will just be happy to enjoy a game without worrying about needing a result. Will stick around after to watch the lap of honour and pay tribute to the team for a truly magnificent season. Then, to bring the thread back to the more recent posts, intend to get disgracefully drunk and watch MotD through a drunken haze! Anyone know if there is anything going on at the Liberty pre-match? Intend to get down there by about 1pm for some grub in the Harvester, then just enjoy the atmosphere before the game.
