I watched Mama recently thought it was a good spooky movie, I'm sure it was Sweats that didn't like it?
Just watched the "Thronecast" which is a show detailing what has happened and describing some of the characters in GOT. Almost unwatchable it's so geeky! Good that you get a quick insight into coming events and the characters. Very torn about this, do I put on my Gandalf costume and watch, or fight against the curse of geek?
I haven't but it does look good, watching Cloud Atlas later. What stage is the NBA at? Going to start downloading the games. I think the season starts in October? Which should men it's ending soon? I was a bit of a Sonics fan, are they any good now?
No way I'm checking back through all 239 pages so not sure if it's been mentioned, but here to recommend the TV show Louie (starring stand up comic Louis CK). Brilliant stuff. Bagful of dicks anyone?
Probably know but his new special 'Oh my god' is up on that there youtube, as is his full 'Chewed Up' set, would recommend them too.
Here's a typically great routine:
I watched that on the plane here, was good. Wasn't was I expected it to be like but was good nevertheless Think I'll enjoy it more if I was in my own home
Cloud Atlas Where to start? At the beginning I suppose but the problem is there is not really any beginning middle or end. I knew it was supposed to be a complex film but still I found it hard to follow the story. I understand the concept and the story of the film, but c'mon. The story is about the perfect piece of music and how we all strive for perfection, there are stories about age and slavery and freedom all incorported into 3 hours of nonsense. Well sort of nonsense, I can't say it was a bad film, I enjoyed it. The Jim Broadbent scenes were were nothing short of brilliant and they bring a welcome sense of humour to a film that is in need of just that. Watch it and make up your own mind but to me there are much better films out there.
Luv, Cloud Atlas was also on on the plane, I thought I'd put it on as I'd noticed it was 2 and a half hours long, thought it'd waste quite a bit of time, ended up turning it off though after 20 minutes in as I wasn't following it at all
The links to past present and future are not clear and the act of kindness that is responsible for the revolution in the future almost goes unnoticed. I can't praise the Jim Broadbent scenes enough, if it wasn't for them this would be an absolute pile of crap. I was very much looking forward to this film, also the 7.7 rating on IMDB is a joke.
imdb can be a good source but can also have some skewed voting in my opinion. THere will be blood is right at the top of that 200 list and it is a waste of time!
