Having read the quite magnificent post by Brix Jnr, it would appear that the best course of action is to set up a JustGiving page to Barnardos. Anyone who doesn't know what they do, see the following link: http://www.barnardos.org.uk/ Please find a link to the just-giving page here: http://www.justgiving.com/Not-606-QPR
Excellent work Raving! I'll be donating when my humble finances allow (28th or shortly thereafter). The comments and tributes, a lot purely on the strength of his presence on this board, are testament to the man. Something that has come across throughout the last few days is the time he obviously spent getting to know us as individuals and I'm sure that such a selfless man will have been humbled by the tears and respect shown irrespective of the donations that have been forthcoming. The appreciation, not so much for a self-sacrificing moderator but for a decent and fantastic man, are a worthy eulogy but if anyone can give then please do; if circumstance doesn't allow then I'm certain your sentiments are more than enough for our illustrious leader. Matt
Good stuff Raves, and a great cause. Barnardos stand head and shoulders above many of the other so-called charities in their selfless frontline work, providing shelter and safety to many of the most vulnerable. If your initiative helps to produce just one more like Brix in the fullness of time then we've erected a fitting memorial to a great friend of Not606 and Queens Park Rangers.
Thanks for doing this Raving. It felt right to give something back after all the hours of chat we have enjoyed free of charge on here courtesy of the likes of Brix and others.
May not be appropriate, but could somebody of the Twitter persuasion send a link to the fund and the Family Tribute/ A Man called Brix threads to the club/Beard/Tony? I'm pretty sure that if he reads it Tony will donate. Plus its another chance to show these blokes what real R's are made of.
Thanks for doing this Raving. A fine tribute and a great way to honour his memory and his beginnings / roots. Good job.
A fitting tribute, it goes without saying that David's family will be much on my heart and mind as I run through Lima tomorrow
Thanks Staines, and Raving for setting this up. I'm finding watching the rapidly growing total much more pleasing than anything to do with this year's football.
Thank you for setting this up Raving, it is perfect. The family are very touched by everyone's generosity to a cause that is so dear to their hearts.
