How anyone can work out who is the best is beyond me, its a tough one. he is a very good keeper but he can hardly claim to be the best. I still think Cech is no 1 but there are 4 keepers in the PL that might lay claim to the title What would the criteria be for rating the best keeper do you reckon? 22 and £17m sorry UIR, he ain't no baby but it is true they get better with age, like wine
De gea is better than Cech I think. The last time I asked this it was generally agreed that De Gea was better than Cech at that time. Cech was not playing well and he has improved since but so has De Gea.
not what I would consider a major part in what makes a keeper the best. Important but not that important. Dont gt me wrong, de gea has plenty to improve on. Hes 22 and has 15 years ahead of him in which he can improve distribution, presence, power and the rest. His shot stopping is top notch and always has been but this past season hes improved massively in areas he was criticized in last season. Isnt he the keeper in the TOTY?
Improved big time, much more of a presence in the box and have to say i have seen him flying in for corners and areal challenges in recent months. Seems to have gained some confidence and doesnt allow himself to be bullied.
Cech is just as good as De Gea at shot stopping, but he's also better at commanding his area + distributing.
He really isnt. Not even close. Hes better at the second part but hes been in the PL a while longer so its to be expected. Give De Gea a season or 2 and you wont even know who Cech was Glad nobody has mention Reina or Chesney
Cech made the save of the season UIR and has been impressive in all aspects of goalkeeping Hart got the GG No one denies De gea is a very good keeper but to be best in the PL you need to be playing at the top of your game for a few years. I would not trade De Gea for a younger VdS or Schmeichel any day
Nor would I but the thing is, unless you can find me a younger VDS or Schmeichel I think I would go with De gea right now..... obviously. I dont rate Hart, dont get the fuss. Hes english, hes a bit better than average and hes not allowed to be criticized even when he makes numerous **** ups.
hart has made mistakes last season. De Gea made mistakes last season Hart is also a great shot stopper but he's also young. De Gea is a young keeper who is also a great shot stopper but lets not forget David james was a great shot stopper he also made mistakes. De Gea has still to prove he is the best, but for me, one of those keepers playing for one of the lesser sides have been impressive, like the keeper at Chelsea
he used to have problems going out .. very rarely now .. he is growing up to be one of the best who was better last season?
