Im no Beckham molester but how can anyone say Beckham isnt in the top 1000 footballers of the last 40 years ? Its not that he IS , its that who the **** has the time to draw up a list of 1000 players anyway Waddle is a ****er with too much time on his hairy hands , the underachieving cock http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22568870 I love beckham . com
Waddle is a Cock. And he calls penalties pelanties. Every time. Dopey twat. His only redeeming feature was his mullet
Heard that on sports talk yesterday, pissed myself. Who's usually on on a weekday between 5 and 6? Whoever it is constantly abuses arsenal
Waddle's comment was about as over the top as his penalty against Germany back in Italia 90... What a prat. I'd love to see his list of the 1000 players that were better than Beckham.
Beckham was the premier leagues greatest player, he raised the profile of it worldwide enormously, if it wasn't for him I'm not sure the BPL would be quite as popular as it is.
Adrian Durham. The man is a cock. Though I do find his attacks on Arsenal quite funny, especially that rant yesterday.
Think it's Adrian Durham - supports Peterborough. His 'daily arsenal' aka 'arsenal are pretentious dickheads' section is usually quite amusing
I was actually going to back Waddle here and say he wouldn't make it but then I read it again - I thought it said Top 100 not 1000. He wouldn't make the Top 100 but Waddle is clearly talking out of his fat arse.
I have always thought Waddle to be a right knob.. criticises England at every opportunity as if he was the best thing since sliced bread ..
I'd probably struggle to name 1,000 players off the top of my head, so Beckham would definitely be in mine. In all seriousness, I'd say Becks has been in the top 20 in the last 10 years. I suspect I'd put him in my top 100 of the last 40 years but it's difficult to say without actually properly doing it, which would involve a lot of research & time and you'd still keep realising you'd forgotten someone.
I'm not sure about Beckham being outside the top 1000, but I think Waddle's assessment of him being mainly a good athlete with a lethal cross and a great free-kick is pretty accurate. I suppose England have had few players who could unlock the tightest defence with one cross, but a lot of Beckham's profile was built on good looks, a clean-cut personality and a showbiz lifestyle, while commercially he was a coup for any club that signed him.
