It is a good job that they removed the speed bumps from the chicane or Perez's car could of been flung up higher into the corner. I think Button was calling for the speed bumps to be removed after he saw Rosberg's car fly over them after his shunt.

Well done Button, starts from the front row. Hopefully he can jump Vettel at the start tomorrow.

I know Alonso could've gone quicker, but I don't know whether he'd be able to improve on 4th.

Not a bad session, apart from finger boy on pole - still, a good lap though. Respect to him for that.

So even Rocky called Vettel a dick. Hamilton will be moaning trying to be clever. Vettel has won unless something happens to him. its him vs Button

Our hopes of ending the Vettel domination this week rest on Button then. Come on JB.

Should be an entertaining race, at least.

A couple of comments after Perez's crash there along these lines:

I don't want to see accidents but isn't it down to the drivers to drive the track?

You have to admit it was a great quali lap from vettel. The Perez situation didn't help the other drivers when they went out again, before then I really thought it was going to be close between them both.

Well, I am happy with this Quali result, the race is when it matters, well done Schumacher and I feel for Perez, hope he is ready enough for tomorrow.

If Webber wasn't third, I would fancy Schumacher and Alonso to do something special on the first lap.

A sigh of relief when heard Perez was ok and talking. Will he be able to race tomorrow is yet to be confirmed but surely he cannot even if he is ok as the car is a wreck.

    Back to the racing side..

Really really really disappointed with P7 as it should have P1. Lewis was quickest in Q1 and Q2 and no doubt that the horrible incident did not help anything.

Going into tomorrows race strategy will be key and so will the start. He has a quicker car than everyone up to his teammate and Vettel and Webber so he needs to clear them.

What I don't get is, how was Lewis distracted by massa when he clearly got out of his way?

You didn't see vettel get put off when he shot past Jenson.

So true, eyes on the track not on the driver in front. But it is easy for me to say this.
