Oh do **** off. We were the only teams playing. For those asking, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink or something, I don't know. My memory's hazy, I do remember Hunt being **** though. I used to ask "Why does everybody **** over Stephen Hunt?" On City mad all the time. Hobbit ****.
No it didn't - the table is only counted after a game has finished. The as live table has zero relevance.
It's not often I agree with TWF but I do about Hunt and it's not hindsight, I said it at the time. If you're saying Hunt was good you might as well say ***an was as for me they were exactly the same player. The only difference was one of them had more luck with Ms Duffen than the other...
I'm tending to.lean towards the opinion of perky and bum chin. McLean - ran his socks off. No end product. ***an - ran his socks off. No end product. Hunt - ran his socks off. No end product. Much of a muchness
I forgot Mclean, you can defo lump him in with those. How anyone can slate him and love Hunt is beyond me.
Well it seems his time here definitely split opinion. Personally i liked him but wouldn't have him back
In terms of the top of the table argument, we were joint top and only second on GD after the 3-0 demolition of West Brom at the Hawthorns, great day.
I don't care about your criteria. For about 10 minutes we effectively sat above every other team in the country. I doubt that'll ever be repeated.
Hunt will get another Championship deal, he won't have to drop to League One. He's a dim pikey, but he put in more effort than anyone else in our second Premier League season, which is why he won the award. I liked him at the time, but I certainly wouldn't want him back.
One of my all time favourite days as a City supporter, felt like we were walking on air coming away from the ground. Shame it all went downhill after that!
It was walking out after that game where all the City fans were discussing whether they'd settle for a Europa League spot.
I agree 100% with this. He was the only player who looked remotely like a goal threat. Had he not injured himself, ironically against Wolves we'd have stayed up.
