According to Garth Crooks', Bassong has "undoubtedly" been our player of the season. However, anyone who's team of the week play 3-2-3-2 with Lampard and Mata as holding midfielders is not someone I'll be taking too many opinions from!

To be fair, I actually agree and that passing stat is incredible.

I don't know, a CB who spent most of the game under little pressure should always have stats like that. The most difficult passes he was playing were sideways to an unmarked defender or to a midfielder dropping deep.

True, but it does demonstrate that Bassong rarely feels the need to hoof it.

Totally agree carrabuh, certainly doesn´t show any lack of respect or gratitude to the fans, whether they are parading with or without family. Let them enjoy it.

That's the right top 3 for me, you could argue about the order but all three have been excellent and without them we'd have fine down.

Yep - those three have been outstanding and were my top three.

Well done to Seb - a deserving fellow and here's to him being a star again for us next season. Well done to Snoddy (who got my vote) and Bradders too - both have had immense seasons and same again next year lads !

Not surprised by Bassong and Snodgrass, bit surprised by Johnson though. Not because he doesn't deserve it, he really does, but because I thought there'd be the usual huge number of votes for Hoolahan for no other reason than he's Hoolahan and he'd sneak in.

I'm glad Bassong won it, he definitely deserved it, and, in my opinion has been a better player than Snodgrass all season. Not to take anything away from Snodgrass, but I find that he's actually slightly over-rated and Bassong has been consistently brilliant all year. He is perfectly composed, always looks to pass the ball out from the back, is happy to get forward whenever we need a goal and is a calming influence on the entire defense. Well done Seb!

The children of the players don't mean a thing to me, I support the club team and the players. I take my kids and their kids to the football every week, I'm extremely proud of all of them, but I don't parade them around for all to see! I just don't see the relevance of it. I'm presuming that the familys of the players spend a lot more time at the club that I do, they know what daddy does for a living, so why can't they just do the same as the rest of us, stand and applaud clap cheer??

Tend to agree with the Snodgrass comment, he's all action, pretty exciting when he gets the ball, but his delivery has been a bit iffy. His last two free kicks have been awful, both hit straight at the wall.
Agree with the 3 choices, glad to see City fans are mostly in agreement on this at least, I voted for Bradley as I thought he was the most improved player over the season, but the other two were up there as well!

Worth noting also that Bassong is the first non-British and Irish player to win the award. Does that make him our most successful foreign player? There may be a thread in that, but I haven't the time to make one!

They are not parading their kids, the kids are just there to enjoy themselves and they add to a family experience.

I'm absolutely perplexed that someone would take offence to this.
