WTF? - Are they sure it wasn't just a photo of Huth. Stoke City are to investigate after a pig's head was reported to have been left in the locker of striker Kenwyne Jones at the club's training ground. Jones was said to have been furious and manager Tony Pulis will discuss the incident with his players on Saturday. "A full internal investigation will be carried out," said a club statement. "Those responsible for any unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with in accordance with the club's disciplinary procedures." Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Pulis said he would be looking into the incident before their final match of the season, against Southampton on Sunday. "We have a smashing dressing room, and there are four or five lads who are always up to something. There is always banter going on. "I honestly don't know what's gone on this morning, I've missed all of what's happened. I try to stay away from the home dressing room as much as I possibly can, I let the lads get on with it. "We will look at it tomorrow, I will have a chat with the lads and find out exactly what has happened. From that point onwards we'll let everybody know exactly what the situation was." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22575668
Think T.Pulis' time is up at Stoke. Never seen a board so united in wanting a manger out as theirs. Don't blame 'em tbh
bizarre to make the press unless jones is a Muslim or something. in that case the fa better dust off those new guidelines and hammer the culprits. If it got out this far then stoke need to have a word amongst the players and staff cos thats one to stay within the club
Can't say I blame them, one thing playing awful football and getting results but Pulis has Stoke playing awful football and getting no results. maybe the pig's head was meant for Tony
The two players that were supposedly involved were Shea and Whelan, so probably not. The former's American and the latter's Irish. Very stupid if they knew that Jones is a Muslim, though. Ignorant at best.
No no no no! Ignorance isn't an excuse you know old chap! As long as he was suitably offended! And I'm from here so it's ok; are you suggesting the Irish are in no way intolerant of other cultures or religions lol..... Or the yanks for that matter Or were you being sarcastic?
I was suggesting that non-British people were unlikely to be supporters of the British National Party. "Those bloody foreigners, like us, coming over here and taking our, er... I mean, their jobs..."
UDA/BNP, not much difference, plenty of that kind of talk round Belfast regarding Eastern Europeans & Chinese sad to say. And the yanks, as The boss would say are the country who work hardest to keep out the immigrants that built & continue to service their country. But I'm just winding you mate, in a mischievous mood.... If they knew & did it deliberately its disrespectful to the max. But we're talking about brain dead footballers, they probably thought it was a good prank.
Yeah, that's how I see it, too. They egged Michael Owen's car recently and probably thought that this was similar. Dumb but probably not malicious. Big, though... please log in to view this image
Reminds me of Penn Jillette's idea of saving all the time and money spent on airport security by having an airline that requires you to eat bacon when boarding.
...? One's a unionist, Protestant ex-terrorist group/current drug gang... the other is a mainland political party? I live in Belfast (Botanic - so probably one of the most mixed areas)... the open racism at night comes 99% from the 'culchies' from Armagh, Tyrone etc. Actually disgusting how they treat the workers at late night foot outlets etc.
With long standing links to each other stemming back to the NF. And you described our version & reasons behind it in 3 words there. Unionist (in extremis: ultra small n nationalism), Protestant: like all religions but particularly with our historical background intolerant of all others. Terrorist/Drug Gang (we've known for years our "terrorists" have been the equivalent of all inner city gangs wrapped in national flags: as are the BNP) draw, encourage & influence others who will go one step further. Judgement wasn't my main reason for linking them, but I do (as I do for the other just as intolerant side of our society); I was merely pointing out that being American or Irish doesn't rule you out of being intolerant or bigoted to other religions or cultures : in fact, I was suggesting we're famous for it.
And forgive me Red; I'm have cut so my writing isn't keeping up with my thoughts so, it may come out too simplistic & so increase the likelihood for misinterpretation & offence lol Edit: see? Half not have.
