That's quality mate. My youngest son is 13 and he has always been like that. Some of his his schoolfriends had literally never heard of QPR 3 or 4 years ago but it didn't bother him a bit. You don't see many QPR kits here in Croydon!!
I will renew a bit closer to deadline day. Sadly my 14 year old has been lost in (in) action due to our complete cack season. Fortunately my 11 year old is still as keen as ever and with a best mate supporting Plymuff he still has some bragging rights.......just.
It's one of these "World Experience" things in conjunction with schools. Chance of a lifetime for him and he really wants to do it. He is raising money towards it himself by selling stuff to school mates and doing bag packing in Tesco and anything else he can do to help.
Outstanding attitude good to hear I think games should be easy enough to get to without a ST so you and pick and choose
Can't quite bring myself to renew - the prospect of 23 NPC games with an average 3.5 hour round trip does not fill me with enthusiasm. Plus my lad really has to play more rugby next year, I'm told he has real potential and getting to less than 50% of his games this season did him no favours, As DT says I don't think getting tickets will be a problem next season, until/if we are in the closing stretch and in contention, plus the away games are much more convenient for me from the West Midlands, hoping to meet up with Wubba in Yorkshire/ North Midlands for pie and pint sampling at some stage...... Should stress that the club has done the right thing re prices, the cost was never the issue.
Where does he train? Not Pitshanger Park is it? I've posted prev about a kid (about 10 I would say) who I've seen when jogging around the park. Always in QPR kit which I've really admired with the crap he must have had to put up with over the last 2 seasons! Good lads.
I am too, as are a fair few others. That begs the question; are we victims of Stockholm Syndrome? Innocent people, taken captive as hostages, begin to develop an affinity to their captors on whom they are dependent for food, water etc. We've been captivated, seen bugger to all to get excited about (quite the contrary in fact) and yet here we all are, beginning to get excited again! Stockholm, stupid or NFQPR (Normal For QPR)? Over to you.
No, not Pitshanger - about 5 miles distant. The boys in his club are very good about it. A good team. It was more school mates. He went for a tour of Wembley recently with boys in Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs shirts and was asked 'how did you get passed security in that shirt?' and 'You boys will all come here again with your teams.... apart from you that is!' Such is the life of a young QPR fan!... and he is only 10! - broad shoulders and took it in the spirit intended
I've renewed my ticket even though I'm going travelling for 9months next year, hopefully my nephew will take over the reigns but I don't dare let my seat go to someone else even if I am half way round the world!!!
Gotta say well done to him for that. doesn't matter how much he raises, justthe fact that he is trying is fantastic. Seems like you've raised him well mate ...now if I can just persuade him to be anti-adel.... credit to you mate
