You sound practised Norway - Cayman Islands? Switzerland? Have always wanted a 'numbered' account somewhere - although I thought all accounts had numbers.
iban & Swift codes are a pain in the arse...They are becoming mandatory gradually in the EU as countries implement SEPA, already in place in Finland and Italy are heading that way. I have had to make changes to our Vendor Payment processes and HR systems to be compliant....just to keep the bloody eurocrats employed...
If I had any money to play with No I just move money to my uk account sometimes to keep uk side bills paid! If you wanted an account for tax purposes I would go for the IoM! Or you could ask Leo as an ex accountant he should know some useful things on saving money!
