What's the one thing that unites all football fans, del boy and Rodney? We all think that this time next year it'll be our year....in short we is all plonkers innit think that Can't want til Monday night...the pain will have gone and i can start on my dreams for next season!
Have to agree with Giggsy_legend on his point regarding Man Utd. Next season Man Utd will be a mystery. Most people will have never seen a SAFless Man Utd and it could go either way to be honest. Moyes is too good a manager to let them freefall, so they will stay top 4 atleast. Whether they still compete for titles or not will remain to be seen. Arsenal should have a good season next year though, I have odds at 20/1 that they will pick up a trophy next year, I might stick a score on it.
I can't see Utd going into freefall, but I can see them having to work a lot harder over the next few seasons. I don't think people should underestimate the Fergie effect and I don't just mean his influence on his own players. By that I mean the psychological effect it had on other managers, players and referees. Fergie was an intimidator and he knew it, the mind games he used to play played right into Utd's hands. Fergie's tactics alone on referees probably handed Utd an extra Five to Ten points per season - remember Utd didn't have one penalty awarded against them this season. That is not a coincidence. What will probably happen next season is that Utd will finish top four but struggle along the way, City likewise. Chelsea will probably re-appoint Mourinho spend a bucket load of cash and win the league and Mourinho will be off on one about being the ****ing special one again. Arsenal though I think will improve and we should be realisitically aiming for second or third and a trophy
Always aim for the top. You may miss, but don't lower your aim. I guarantee you Wenger is not aiming for second or third, despite everything that is said about him.
You mean Arsenal in general and Arsene in particular will be rid of the Fergie effect. I don't think Chelsea have been intimidated at all as I am sure they are about fifty-fifty with United in the head to head matches!o
As a team with intentions of winning the Champions it is arguable that United have been in decline for the past three seasons, but this is certainly not replicated in the Premiership so United will still be the team to topple!
