Hmm, bad move on his part. He's a Chelsea legend and now he's in danger of working for their 2 biggest rivals (Spurs and Fulham). He could undo any chance he ever had of getting that 'dream job'. Well I did say 'call me mental', but I think you might be underestimating how their fans feel about him. There is possibly only Jose and Zola who would be more popular in the world as an appointment. He's like their Deano or Billy Whitehurst.

I think Poyet is a decent manager but he's acted foolishly. The chairman at Brighton is loaded and from Brighton - it's a cracking job as the chairman will give the manager time and money to get promoted. If the next Brighton manager is a decent manager, back them to win the championship next season...
Poyet did for Brighton what Peter Taylor did for us (albeit one level up). Good achievement, but I wouldn't call him great. I don't think Poyet has the people skills to succeed at a truly big club. He certainly doesn't possess the media skills
