They wouldn't be that stupid ... would they? They have seen, first hand, what a long term appointment can do for a club. With all the options open to them, why would they choose a pensioner? I'mn fine with Harry staying with us to steady the ship and then passing on the reins in a year or two. Everton don't need to do that.
I could be delighted or incredibly pissed off depending on if that weasel Cotterill gets the job or not. It must be a wind up though because hes not the Everton type, surely theyd go for Martinez or Poyet if Brighton dont go up? The type of manager we should be hoping for.
They'll go for someone younger for the long term, surely. If they want a big name Benitez would be the logical one, his family still live up there and he loves it. But the Liverpool connection and his transfer budget demands probably rule him out.
There's every chance that they would go for a team of Harry and either Neville or Ferguson. Neither of the latter two are ready for Prem management yet but could learn a lot from Harry as an understudy for a few years.
Harry mentioned on Talksport yesterday that there were going to be a few PL vacancies coming up according to rumours, so it's possible he's lining up a move for himself. Jol is under big pressure at Fulham, who knows what might happen in the next couple of weeks?...
He said he cant guarantee he will be there next season, Id be delighted if it was us but its probably Everton or even possibly Fulham.
.........speculation about Pulis at Stoke too. This sets up a nightmare scenario which I don't need to spell out, which will convince me that I have done something truly evil in a past life and am suffering for it in this one. What you blokes must have done doesn't bear thinking about, you can't all be punished on my account.
One thing's for sure - You writing or even in the slightest associating the notion of Pulis has compounded still further the sins of your past life!! The term "Going to Hell in a handcart" would never have been more appropriate!!
