COYG pointed it out. For the Spuds, that CC win was a MASSIVE achievement for their club. When you consider that they haven't won anything of significance for 22 years and they haven't won the league for over 50 years, you can see why they cling on to small glories
Spud supporters all suffer from 'small glory syndrome'. Probably the only strain of the human race that could shag a rat without fear of causing it any internal damage...
Personally I was getting tired of seeing Wigan hang around the relegation trap door all season and escaping every season by the skin of their teeth. There's only so many times it was going to work. Besides that, there are certainly more deserving teams that I would like to see relegated. *cough*Stoke*cough*
Are we really having this conversation? Spurs don't even deserve to be on the same page as Arsenal when it comes to trophies....tell them to win 13 league titles...then they can be mentioned in the same sentence.
I can understand if a United or Chelsea fan take a little piss out of Arsenal fans for not winning a trophy in a while, but Spurs fans? It's like even when Stoke fans try to do it! Here's another Q, when's the last time Spurs even reached the final or semi final of the FA Cup? We know they haven't won it since 1991, but when have they even come CLOSE to winning the thing? We don't need to ask the Q for the league though, because God only knows when's the last time Spurs actually looked competitive and capable of winning the league. Lol, was Spurs' last semi final appearance in the FA Cup the one we beat them in? So not only have Spurs failed in winning any of the big trophies, they haven't even come close to doing it.
