    I'd say it's more of a combination of B and C.

Although every club has a bit of A in it.

I do think we have the best goalkeeper and Centre Half though.

As for Knocky and Wood. I would say that Knockaert is up there with the likes of Aluko, Zaha, Bolasie ect as the best in the division when it comes to creative wingers. I'd say they're all on a level field (when putting my most neutral cap on).

Wood, in his first month, proved that he can be one of the best strikers in the league. But then he proved he can be one of the worst. Lets hope he's the former next season.

It's pretty much impossible to nail down who's the best in each position but on their day each of the four players mentioned could easy lay claim to be just that.

Complimented with some other very good players such as; Keane, James;), Nugent, Drinkwater, Schlupp and the Marshall of old you've got to be asking how the **** is Pearson still in a job.

Some of us are ... others are very loyal to NP (which is fine also) and believe that he deserves more time, focusing on the positives (recuitment of good young players - good run through January - reducing wage bill) within what has to be seen as a disappointing campaign overall ...

Recruitment of excellent young players sure is a trademark of a Pearson managed club.

Only problem is that's all down to Steve Walsh and I do mean ALL down to Steve Walsh.

Getting rid of dross and reducing the wage bill( often goes hand in hand) are other aspects he's good at.

There are negatives which I won't go into too much detail about but I think they outweigh what he's good at.

Take Steve Walsh out of the equation and he'd be well and truly ****ed.

    IMO.

Morgan and Kasper are. Knocky isn't - yet. Wood - the jury's out, we'll tell you this time next year.

There are many other possible reasons that you haven't included (if only football was that straight forward!) but it's certainly not B or C.

I agree that it's not B but C is up for debate.

In fact I'm not sure how you can argue against C.

He's had a few chances at getting out of this division and hasn't managed it yet. He's also had a few quid to spend.

Also are you sure KS is better than Marshall because I'm not.

I don't think anyone is "very loyal" to Pearson... but two play-off campaigns in two and a half Championship seasons with us is hardly grounds for sacking, particularly since no other managers have come close to matching these achievements in the last ten years. I for one simply like to see common sense reign. If Hull sack Bruce to bring in a manager with a better chance of keeping them up I'd say that it was unfair. I think Mancini's sacking is unfair (although it has been made clear that there are issues other than results involved, which makes it a bit more understandable). The truth is, no-one can possibly know what is for the best. We do know that getting rid of Pearson last time was a mistake though, and one that set us back three years and risking getting set back three years again for the sack of a poor 11 match run is not very sensible.

Who cares what the Hull fans think on this subject? They have a personal agenda.

Since when has football been fair?

Patience is a rare commodity amongst football club owners and even the most naive of Leicester fans must see Pearson is on thin ice.

    Very thin ice.

True. Doesn't mean you can't hope for sanity to return.

Of course we all know that it's touch and go. I just hope our owners are bit more lucid than others.

Whatever happens, half our fans will be happy - for now.

I've never spoken a bad word about Schmeicel, and I believe he'd be a great No.1 for us in the Premier League.

I reckon we could barter the price down to a reasonable sum and I reckon if we approached, he'd like to come. Premier League football and that. <whistle>

    In Nigel's defence.

Are these players so good because he's helping them play above their ability levels?

You've got absolutely no hope of doing that. Not while Nige is still here.

    In a word no.

Look at Marshall, Wood and Knockeart as examples of really good, young players turning into average/ poor players.

If anything he holds them back.

I just hope he doesn't do the same to Matty James.

Mind you a little bird tells me a crafty bid might be winging your way for Matty.;)

Knockaert hasn't turned into an average/poor player.

For the record, I do agree with you in saying that the majority of Nigel's success is because of Walsh's ability to spot talent. However, I think you're doing Nigel a disservice, I mean, look at James for instance. He began very slowly and he's now starting to look a very good player.

In all fairness I never had a bad word to say about Nigel when he was with us and can see that he did a great job in steadying the club.

His management team ( Walshy) brought in some great players and he binned off players that were draining the club.

That said I think he's a decent manager at Championship level, he's certainly not poor.

I just think he lacks certain aspects and skills to make that final leap that is required for promotion from The Championship.

He's up against Adkins, McDermott, Poyet, possibly Redknapp and one out of Holloway and Zola next season. Plus a few other experienced and proven managers who may cause a surprise.

Your squad will be one of the best but I still think with Pearson in charge you'll struggle.

Just my opinion for what it's worth.

I think Poyet will be off in the summer as well as Redknapp.

Leeds don't scare me to be honest. Don't think McDermott is all that, just that he was the right man at Reading.

While I do think he could get promotion, I don't think he has the motivational skills to last a season.

Bit of a shame really, because I do think Walsh is the pick of the trio. Would love to keep him.
