I posted it before but I cant help but post it again such is the journalistic prowess of the muppets on this show. The Lesbian comes out with the classic line"These Spaniards are ok when the sun is out and its hot, like at QPR but it will be a different story on a wet Tuesday night at stoke"..<laugh>

The outcome of this debate was that the Swans are getting relegated ..<laugh>

Oh dear..Taxi for every guest on this daft show please !! <cheers>

    Enjoy !

In fairness they were complimentary of the Swans, but as this was right after game one they were just giving predictions, I don't think you can criticise their opinion myself. I predicted we'd land up above Liverpool and Wigan to survive up here, that didn't happen. Though QPR and Reading I did predict to go down.

Making the tea and drinking from the furry cup init !... <laugh>

You don't think they at all condescending Jager ? yes they say some nice things but to me it was just an example of how little pundits/jurno's know about the game they earn their living from.

To say something like " be intresting to see how they can cope with Big Sams West Ham though" when correctly pointed out by the decent pundit that Swansea have been dealing with rough and tumble for the last 4 years the host wasn't really sure what to say ..<laugh>

Anyway, west ham were the promoted team not us ! we showed people that we were a good team but still the same old lazy stuff comes out.

I found it amusing to watch ,especially as the season is over and we could finish 8th <cheers>

I think the female displayed a remarkable lack of knowledge of Swansea, not to mention the game, trouble is how much does she get payed for her wisdom on the game, Janine Self of the people? Have to say the guy in the middle Dominic Fifield, of the Guardian, seemed to know his stuff, and spoke very positive regarding Laudrup and us!.............<ok>

Aren't all pundits smug & condescending ? Think its a job requirement ;) but saying a woman can't be one is condescending, I see plenty of women at games and they probably know more than a few of the guys I see down there. And what about Sian Massey, never seen her put one foot wrong?

The game is changing , IMO for the better in many ways. But back to the show, they could have equally have been correct in this, how were they to know Michu and Chico would land up like they have ? They could have been a disaster. And look who left Allen and Sinclair were big losses .

To be fair, now that we've seen what the regular pundits have to say about games we've actually seen ourselves, I have to say most pundits are absolutely shocking. Some more than others (shearer anyone?)

And have you seen where we'd be in the league if Mark lawrenson's score predictions were correct? I think we'd have been relegated weeks ago.

None of them really have a clue about our fantastic team.

campioni, a lot of it is wishful thinking! We are not that fashionable, and they'd love us to go straight back down, but I can hear their anguish all the way down here on the North Gower road!................<laugh>

Well i Think being the top goal scoring midfielder in la liga was a Tiny clue jager !

The game doesnt change though the media interaction does. We see it in every level of sport, especially on sky and BBC .

We have sonia mingebag doing the rugby And being shockingly bad.
We have clive..er,sorry claire balding doing nearly everything Else.
We have sue turtle head barker on the tennis.
We have gaby hook nose logan on athletics.
We have that stupid dumb blonde in a broom cupboard on the football league show.

Most of them have no clue what so ever, i can add the lesbian to the list too. ;)

When we have a woman thats played at the highest level in These sports then they can be taken serious, harsh but true .

And yet Sian Massey is probably the best referee's assistant in the PL - I don't think I can remember her making a single mistake. Absolutely excellent, much better than half the other linesmen in the league.

I would say she's head and shoulders above all the lino's I've seen Campion, she puts the rest to shame. I hope she becomes a ref as well.

Exactly correct, she is very good at what she does so commands instant respect from footballers, supporters and fellow refs..and that's the way it should be.

Got more balls that the lot of them. I think she's the best lino in the whole of the PL. Question the, somebody might know the answer, can she become a fully fledged ref?

Yes I know Pagan!! everybody knows this !!

    Let me clarify for you

Sue Turtle head Barker ,probably the strongest of the womans brigade. Never won Wimbledon, but did win one major title many many years ago.

Claire(clive) Balding won nothing at her horsey thing, probably knows how to saddle one up ..maybe, presents the boat racing but her only link is going to Cambridge, part of the establishment by the sounds of it.

Gaby hook nose Logan won nothing at gymnastics, the peak of her career was finishing 8th for Wales at the commonwealth games, in other words coming last !

No mention of Sonia mingebag on the bbc rugby ?

No mention of the woman in the broom cupboard on the football league show ?

As I said earlier, these people know nothing about half the stuff they bang on about, clive balding probably knows which end the **** comes out of a horse and not much else. Gabby knows about football because her father once played ? hmm..

Sue I will give you ,she did at least win something when tennis was for the privilidged only and in the days when only about 12 women actually played the game <ok>

I think they know about as much as their male counterparts and more in many cases.

I have no Idea who Sonia is mainly because I don't follow Rugby but I'm guessing that her real name is not Mingebag.

I'll give the text reader in the broom cupboard.

Not sure gender really comes into it - the pundit (who happened to be female) really did seem ill-informed though. I mean, you are about to go on TV and put your observations on the record. You'd think she'd (and indeed the lad at the other end of the sofa) would do a simple Google search on some of the players she was talking about.

I mean, for these pundits to just not be bothered to research when all the information is there on the internet does beggar belief. I mean, twenty teams in the prem, 30mins to an hour research and you'd be able to check stats and look up any new playes. A day's work. That's all. One Saturday to give yourself a foundation for the season ahead.

Another hour each and you'd prob be able to check a lot of the key highlights. Ah well, too much to ask that people will do their job properly. Even to have some pride in what they're doing - a lot of people would kill to do what they do and they just waste the opportunity and our time in the bargain. Grr!!

......Top post, pretty much how most of us see it, Norway in his inimitable way has a valid point, though I think he was harsh on one of my favourite tennis players, I actually was there when she didn't quite make it on many occasions, at Wimbledon, but then the yanks were strong in those days, both in mens and womens game, now if he had said J Lloyd, then I wouldn't have taken issue so much, but I spent years going to the Wimbledon finals, from middle Thursday, onwards! Very fond memories indeed...............<ok>
