Not a bad team, should be a good moral booster for them to get a good win under their belt.

A Magpies reserve XI are in action away to Consett tonight, as the Northern League side bid farewell to Belle Vue stadium, their home venue since 1950.

Unted took the lead after eight minutes when Brad Inman burst through the defence, drew the 'keeper, Peter Jameson and netted.

The home side dominated after the goal, with Jonathan Mitchell forced into making two good stops. The Magpies' occasional attacks have mostly ended with an offside flag.

Just a minute after the break the lead was doubled when Inman was upended as he tried to round the 'keeper. James Tavernier converted the spot-kick.

Inman got his second three minutes later with a routine finish, shooting low from the edge of the box and Rolando Aarons made it 4-0 from close range after Jonathyn Quinn's shot was blocked.

Quinn got on the scoresheet himself in the 61st minute making it 5-0 from close range and Remie Streete completed the half dozen a minute from time, turning to shoot home after a corner wasn't cleared.

I wonder if Streete can stay fit and finally make a breakthrough next year? He won that Jack Hixon Award such was the promise. Talk of first team squad and then injured for a long period. We could do with a good young centre back to come through as a 4th choice option.

Good to see Streete back after injury and Inman scoring - anyone think he will be another Doninger?

Could Streete be the next David Edgar, Steve Caldwell, Peter Ramage and Paul Huntington?
