If both Chelsea and Arsenal finish on same points, same goal difference and goals scored they will play off.

    Chelsea 72 points +35 GD 73 GS
    Arsenal 70 points +34 GD 71 GS

so if Chelsea draws next game and Arsenal wins by one goal margin but scores 2 more than Chelsea scores against Everton there will be a tie.

And the playoff will be at a neutral London venue: either Wembley or 3PL

really? doesn't it go down to head-to-head record (where we would win)? If not, how's that gonna fly with our plans for those pointless matches vs City in New York?

wouldn't think it would be at Wembley as it will be busy with the CL final and 3 Play off finals, Old Trafford, WHL or Villa Park would be my bet

It wouldn't get massive crowds as not really a lot riding on it, season tickets wouldn't cover it etc so can't imagine they would also put it at a venue so far away. It'll probably be WHL.

I agree it's a nightmare scenario. Can we just agree that Newcastle will turn Arsenal over and we are all happy?

Upton Park would be a fairer neutral venue. Or Wembley.
