Perfect result. 3rd with a game in hand. Arsenal will now probably have to win all their games to get 3rd

Looks like we've upset a lot of people tonight be daring to win at Old Trafford.

That doesn't even guarantee 4th for them.

Got a feeling Spurs will pip them to it. Saying that, all 3 of our remaining games are toughies - just need to concentrate and push past the finishing post. 3rd place finish, respectable 77 points haul, and a Europa cup would make for a decent enough season, considering everything that has gone on.

Well we really are hated... I was winding up United fans on the way out of Old Trafford... Started the pushing and shoving between both sets of fans... And all the usual 'Go one then you facking mug'... Arse and Spurs fans really pissed at us... Good day!

Arsenal on Goal Difference for me

I would rather have Spurs fixtures than Arsenal's, but then I'd rather be in better form and have points on the board like Arsenal.

If Newcastle beat QPR, Arsenal get top 4. If QPR beat or (ideally for Spurs) draw against Newcastle, I feel Spurs will get top 4.

When was the last time Arsenal won at St James? They had a 4-0 lead with 20 minutes to go and still blew it. If Newcastle needed to beat them at home in a one off game I think they'd do it.

Arsenal to get 2 points and Spurs to get 4.

Still think they will need something against Arsenal especially if Wigan win their 2 home games, the key game is Norwich vs WBA Norwich lose that than they will have to get something at the Etihad but its all ifs and buts as you have said many times. Think Chelsea will beat Spurs and cement a top 4 place and then after that Chelsea have the easies run in on paper which should see them home and dry.

If Wigan and Sunderland both win you are probably right but 41 points should suffice.

Realistically it would take Wigan, Sunderland and Norwich all to win for 41 points to not be enough. Sunderland win their next 2 and they are home and dry. Norwich are down if they don't beat WBA.

I do think if Newcastle lose to QPR then it will be them only if that happens and Wigan, Sunderland claim a win and Norwich get something next week as I don't seem them beating Arsenal, looking at Fulhams fixtures and form they could be the dark horse yet but there are still a few games between relegation teams below them and I cant see it really, should all become clear after the 4 midweek games.

At this point it all up to Spurs now they simply must win on Wednesday if they dont they hand a huge advantage not only to us but Arsenal. to as Arsenal know 4 points from 2 games would be enough for them due to there vastly superior GD.

Bale to Madrid is on the cards apparently. Perez has guaranteed Ancelotti his signature. I can see it happening if Spurs don't get 4th

Perez cannot "guarantee" this if Levy and Bale haven't agreed.

I can see the spivvy Levy holding him back like Berba & Luca to raise the price before he fills his pockets. The guys so predictable isn't he and its not like the Spuds aren't a selling club.

I bet the Toon fans were in stitches at his 'Joke'. He had to come out and 'counter' that statement, but to be honest I think it said a lot about how they are going to approach this game. They are not going to go all out and try to win and I'm hoping a mixture of complacency and a continuation of their **** form sees us give them a right royal tonking to condem the spuds to another season of Thursday night football <ok>

Except maybe the comment has backfired and now he will have to be seen to take it seriously - the Newcastle board can't have enjoyed hearing him say he doesn't care if they lose 4-0 at home. I think they'll put in a shift as it is in front of their own fans, Lord knows they owe them a performance! Still reckon Arsenal will win though.
