Would be nice to have another Yorkshire team in the Championship for the new season....would hate to travel away to Peterborough.
Both grounds are a easy walk from their perspective railway stations so couldn't be arsed either way, though lets be fair Peterborough are a much friendly bunch....therefore on reflection Peterborough.
Last time I went to London Road was when we played them in the watney cup and won 4-0. Did'nt have seats or stands back then just stood on a hill and watched good thing it did'nt rain that day
would prefer Peterborough. Very exciting to watch this season -- over 180 goals in their games. plus its the nearest league ground to me. I have had some very bad days at Huddersfield, including watching is loise 0-5 on an open terrace in rain/snow/sleet many years ago.
Don't like Huddersfield supporters - gob sh*tes. The A62 off the motorway into Huddersfied is a nightmare, the pubs are crap and the Galpharm compared to the KC is a joke (food kiosks out in the elements behind the stand FFS - not good on a cold winters afternoon) Peterbrough easy to get to - locals are much more welcoming and the shed end for away fans is a standing terrace - good atmsosphere. Last time I went there we won 3-2 with Elliott and Cort amongst the scorers - happy days. Derby games are always a let down with a strong police presence. Needless to say Peterborough for me.
There was a "best stand" and covered terracing behind both goals (with low roofs which made for a good atmosphere). Only the one side was uncovered.
Martin Fish got funding from the Football Grounds Trust for the construction of a two tiered East Stand at BP and it would have been identical to the newest wing stand at London Road I believe - that was before Chris Needler put a halt to developing BP. I too was there in 1971 for the pre season Watney Cup tournamnet when City won 4-0 with Waggy & Chillo running amok. The game after we played Manure in front of 35000 at BP - the first professional game to be decided by a penalty shoot out.
money talks..and mines on peteborough, so thats who im supporting... where already guaranteed brighton and southampton on tuesday nights anyway...so a trip to peterboro wont seem that bad...
Huddersfield can **** right off my friends ! The last time they were at the Kc,had to walk my 73 year old dad through Walton st car park.We were getting pelted at the wholew way and some of the ****ers were jumping on cars ect... Come on Borough !
