This. Please this season is finished and we are still in The Premiership. Now, Paolo has a big job on his hands in the summer, we need to clear out all the **** and bring in some fresh faces, players who actually give a **** about playing for our club. I'm feeling a huge sense of relief right now.
Same for me and with PDc in charge I just feel that the players we bring in will have more of a work mentality and more dedicated to the course which is great news for us fans really looking forward to seeing what happens in the summer

'A new brush sweeps clean' as the saying goes, and our whole club needs to get away from the utter negativity which it currently wallows in from top to bottom, and I sincerely hope that our new manager is the man to do it..
this. it's not just a question of budget, it's mentality......looking at all the teams now higher than us who have had relative success without splashing silly sums of cash.
I know what you're saying Nordic...but if you reckon we can overhaul this squad on the cheap whilst changing mentality..i'm afraid you're mistaken. It will take a lot of money to change everything that needs changing at our club.
Swansea, West Brom and Newcastle have had success without spending big money, I reckon we could do it as well. It's not about spending big, but more, finding the right player. If you look hard enough, thère is bargains to be had. If Paolo gets a budget of 20m-25m, I will be comfortable with that.
same. I know it's difficult to believe given our monumental ****-ups over the years, but I don't see why 25 million can't fix us with the right 'holistic' management (inc facilities and scouting team) in place, to coin a dreadful Man City phrase. I'm willing to give PDC the benefit of the doubt from what I've seen of him, and now that Short is making all the executive decisions. Can someone explain why Swansea or West Brom can do it and we can't? Simply spending our way out won't work long term, as we've proven. Otherwise we might as well hang up our supporters boots, and I'm not ready for that.
Exactly as has been mentioned, we dont need to spend Man City type figures... we arent challenging for the title here. We just want a team that will get us top 10 every season. **** Europe, 6-10 should be the target. Michu for 2million?? he proves there are bargains out there, you just need to look further afield than the Midlands and London. Paolo likes players who will work hard for him, have the right attitude, and want to play each week - not more worried about if their going to get a spread in Woman's Weekly. I think Short know the problem, and with increased tv money, might back him (and the new sporting director) with a bit of cash to get this club back on track. 25-30million, possibly more as we need a whole new squad.
