Would have preferred the dreadful Mackems to go but hey ho.

But I remember Vancouverlatic giving it large to us Swans when Martinez and the backroom staff were tapped up (and they were if you believe Whelan) saying we should basically 'get over it'.

    I am after today. <ok>

What have you got against Mackems. I would understand if you were a Mag. Maybe you will not be so cocky next year.

Probably the stinking attitude shown by some on here may have something to do with it. Still it was only a few. Maybe next year you will go down ?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the dreadful Mackems !, you win the league cup and think you are the bees knees !, wait till next season and we will see who is dreadful. The one thing I NEVER do is belittle another club (apart from Newcastle !), if you play in front of 76,000 or 700 I think supporters will still be just as happy if the team wins, and the players give the same commitment.

I have to ask the question would Wigan fans prefer to lose the cup final and stay up or how it turned out? Also sorry to see Wigan relegated and best of luck in bouncing back.

We have the Cup, and we don't have PL status any more, so I'm going to say - Cup! :)

Loads of Wigan fans had this conversation before the final of course, and I was firmly in the Cup camp. I'm old enough to appreciate what the FA Cup means. We've had Preston, Burnley, Blackpool, Bolton and Bury supporters always having that over us - not any more.

Genuinely in two minds HP.Sorry for your fans but I detest DW.He represents all that is bad about modern Britain and I hate him even more having read on the Mackem board about how he shouted at a 15year old boy working in one of his shops.Typical Thatcherite Gobshite as one observed.

Belittled a team ?? And where has anyone done that ? A question was asked and it was answered, is it my fault you don't like the answer ? Some of your posters on here had an attitude and that's it

    In peace <ok>

People will wonder what you do between August and February because season after season you started to get results and got yourself out of trouble and survived, there's no doubting on your day you can compete with and beat anyone in the Prem, so the question is WFT were your players doing to get you in relegation **** street before getting out of trouble?! <doh>

The fact is that relegation has been coming for a while now and your luck has simply finally run out but it was good while it lasted.

For the record this isn't sour grapes and has nothing to do with you beating us in the semi as you thoroughly deserved it on the day and was by far the better team, I was there at Wembley and we wouldn't have scored if we'd have played all day and all night <ok>

That was my theory with Wigan.People were saying that being in the mix every year gave them experience at getting out of it.i took the opposing view that the more often you were in it the greater the risk that one year your number would come up.This year it did.
