Anybody called Wifred should have a brylcreamed scrapeover, collarless shirt, grey wastecoat and keep pigeons. It's the law.
You mean 300k? That's what he cost The same Alex Ferguson that was willing to sell Brady in the summer for 300k The same Alex ferguson who thought Corry Evans was the pick of the bunch. The same Alex Ferguson who bought berbatov for over 30 million then sold him for 4 million. The fact is, Man U can afford to be ripped off. Fergie wanted Zaha and he caved in to palaces asking price. And that's a good thing, more of the extortionate premier league money filtering down the leagues.
Point of order...Fulham paid £12.5m for Berbatov. And while at Man United, he scored 48 goals in 108 appearances in the Premier League, so he was good value. He was a poor example, I'd go back and edit it if I was you, nobody will have noticed.
Someone better at EPL level. I think Brady has the quality but Quinn hasn't. Dedicated player though and will get his minutes next season.
These just seems like rose tinted specs. We all know Brady is a good player and could and will be a very good player, who will play premier league football for a long time. However Zaha is definitely a class above, at the moment, and will be for the rest of his career no doubt. I can't stand the guy and the way he dives about. But you can' deny he is a class player and better than Brady. He wouldn't fit into the Irish army though.
Not sure about that, everybody knows he has made dozens of mistakes over the years from signing Ralph Milne to nowadays with the likes of Anderson
I don't think zaha is a class above, not at all. He's got the tricks and ability to make something from nothing, turn a match on its head and win a game totally against the run of play, but he only ever does it once every 10 games or so. He's so inconsistent. Brady is far more consistent and a better rounded player, more physical, got more to his game, he just doesn't have the same skill to skip around people. Zaha still looks very raw to me and will improve a lot, Brady already seems to be cultured and probably won't improve so much from here on in. At the minute, I don't think there's any doubt Brady would add more to a team over the course of the season. Not only with consistent performances but versatility and ability to play almost anywhere. Zaha plays on the wing and for a team that plays without wingers, he'd be pretty ****.
Could have sworn Fulham paid 4 million, regardless berbatov was never worth the fee he cost, it was a record for a few days wasn't it til man city went and shat on it. He had a good spell at united but he was never a 30 million signing which proves the point I was making with that, Man U can afford to get ripped off and lose money if they want a player.
Can't disagree with any of that. It's clear to see Zaha has heaps of potential. While 17m might be a lot. But he's without a doubt the MVP in this league.
But in sports MVP is meant to mean most valuable in terms of contribution to the team rather than monetary value, so I would say he is nowhere near the top compared to the impact of Rhodes, Austin, Aluko, Brady, Knockaert, Ince etc.
He hasn't got the same trickery, but then nobody in this division does. I totally agree that Ince is better though, shame he plays half his games on a big pile of mud instead of a pitch
