Barring the Pie Eaters turning over Arsenal it doesn't look like any last day dramatics this year.No doubt fans of Saints,Norwich,Villa,Sunderland and Newcastle will be glad for that so it's just position we are playing for.We usually get done over by City but after yesterday who knows?
FA Youth Cup Final 2nd leg Chelsea v Norwich on ITV4 if you are bored. 1-1 now (1-2 on agg). Will Britt is in goal for Norwich, on loan from us.
Right, we could be 100% safe in a couple of hours, although in a way I want Wigan to win to make things really interesting on Sunday!
Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey, Arteta, Rosicky, Walcott, Cazorla, Podolski. Subs: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Monreal, Jenkinson, Gervinho. Wigan: Robles, Boyce, Scharner, Alcaraz, Espinoza, McManaman, Maloney, McCarthy, McArthur, Kone, Gomez. Subs: Al Habsi, Caldwell, Watson, Di Santo, Henriquez, Fyvie, Golobart.
I'm afraid Wigan do not score enough goals and concede far too many. Arsenal will win tonight... I think.
That's the sort of thing I don't expect to read coming from you. After Saturday's game, I wouldn't write them off, even if I'd like to.
Good that Bart's gone then. Just the thought of us signing McManaman would have given him nightmares.
So thinking about it, Spurs-Sunderland is certain to be SKY's second pick game on Sunday. It's just down to this game as to whether Wigan-Villa or Newcastle-Arsenal is their first pick game.
Yeah but Wigan didn't concede on Saturday. They could come back, but it's highly unlikely IMO. The key for Wigan winning the cup was to frustrate City by defending well and counter attack. Wigan didn't actually do much countering in the end as City were so poor but that probably was the game plan.
