Would have been nice to see him play in the premiership with us, but besides a couple of decent performances he was crap. What makes these players think they are so good?

The former Real Madrid midfielder has changed his mind after previously stating he would remain at Loftus Road regardless of relegation and now eyes a summer move away. QPR midfielder Esteban Granero has revealed he wants to leave the club this summer following their relegation from the Premier League. The midfielder joined QPR last summer from Real Madrid and claimed in April that he was keen to stay with Harry Redknapp's side - even if they were demoted to the Championship. However the 25-year-old, who has made 23 Premier League appearances this season, insists he would rather seek a move away from Loftus Road and says a switch to a Premier League club would be desirable. “Now I do not plan to play in the second tier because I think it is not the place for me," Granero told Spanish newspaper AS. “I mean that in the most humble way but it’s how I feel. We will see what happens. “The Premier League experience has been very good and I would love to play here more.” The Spaniard, who was linked with Fiorentina and Real Betis in January, foresees a chaotic summer for QPR but insists he will not be motivated by money, despite claims levied at the club’s top earners in recent months. He continued: “It will be a summer with little stability. We will see what is best for all. “For me, the most important thing is football. I’ve never given priority to economic issues or other things.”

So he's off to Exeter or Torquay then. Portsmouth might be interested.

A ludicrous purchase from Hughes clearly done without a modicum of scouting or forethought. Oh he plays for Madrid, must be great.

As has been said before, if you are too good for the championship, you wouldn't be heading into it. We have a whole team who think they are too good for the Championship. If they had got their heads out of their own backsides and played like it, they might not be heading there. They didn't, they got relegated, because they were not good enough. Stand up and take responsibility instead of claiming to be better than you are and jumping ship. Disloyal, big headed fools. <grr>
