....because I'm sure the Leibhers are on saints not606 board all the time. This message will surely hit home!
I'd like him to stay. however, I'm sure this is all just a part of the negotiations, blown out of proportion by the media and the Italian Army nature of a lot of Saints fans.
Nevertheless, let's make sure and do our bit. He doesn't get a lot of indication from fans that he's appreciated.
Very simple answer......YES! NC needs to be guiding us to the place he promised us and that is top four and he does strike me as a chap who goes back on his word NC WE NEED YOU!
Would be good to get behind Cortese on Sunday, we haven't had any chants for him up to now though have we? Btw, I noticed that the poll answers were all a bit extreme!
I'd like him to stay as I think he's done a good job. I also think he will stay. But I also don't think it's as critical as apparently everyone else does. I honestly don't think it is that hard to run a football club. Not saying I could do it, but it's not like ONLY Cortese can do it. Badly run clubs have bad owners. Either they meddle too much without knowing what they are doing, or they aren't trying to win, or they hire bad chairman/managers and don't care to fix it. There are other people out there who can do Cortese's job. It'll take some searching but you can find them. If Cortese were fired, I would be far more worried about what this says about the owners and their intent than I would be about losing Cortese. I would have felt the same way about Adkins had they sacked him in the summer instead of during the season. There is more than one good manager or chairman in the world. And some of the qualities that make one "good" for a club in League One are not the same as you would need for European side.
Yeah, I can't really say "he's a great bloke" because I've never met him, and furthermore I don't really care whether he is a great bloke or not. It doesn't do much for the sincerity of your message when all the answers seem to be jokes.
^ This. Never met the guy, but I'm not very sure I would like him if I did, I do however want him to stay. The more I see of football and the way the business side of it works, the more convinced I become that a dictatorship is the best way of running things! Let's call it Cortesism.
Some chants we should try on Sunday: Don Cortese, Don Cortese... Ole Ole Ole (to the tune of Championes) or We want you to stay, we want you to stay, Nicola Cortese, we want you to stay!
