"Arsene Wenger's side are also due £500,000 from Hull after striker Jay Simpson helped the Tigers to win automatic promotion back up to the top flight, the Daily Mail reports."

I guess it's a small price to pay. Wonder if this amount was included in the media report transfer fee of "about 1.2m" when we signed him.

We only paid £50k initially and he's played a part in getting us up so it's fair enough.

    Only £50k ?

That works out about £20 per missed chance...

    Elmo got 12/13.....

Well thats according to my Fantasy League.

Simpson is a pretty poor player, there's no hiding from it really. Nowhere near good enough for the Premiership, so to pay 550k for him really isn't a bargain in my eyes.

Mine came from the Actim index on the FL website.

But assists are so ambiguous you always get differing numbers, same with possession stats.

As for Simpson, regardless of what you think about his skills he cost us £50k up front which is definitely a bargain and we've simply paid an extra £450k for the 15 goals he was involved in this season to get us promoted. It's the perfect transfer fee really, pay **** all up front and only pay up when it works out.
