Depends what you mean by kowtow. Last time around we transfer listed him, he then made a public apology and admitted the whole thing was a huge mistake, then played a vital role is us winning the title that season, and almost winning it the following season. And depending on what rumours you listen to, his salary wasn't that much higher than the one we had offered him originally, just with fewer performance related clauses. I didn't see anyone at the club giving him those 'assurances' he was banging on about either.

Imo this time around, as it was back then, the ball is in his court. If he wants to accept the situation, put the effort and work for the new manager then he's welcome to stay. If not he can leave, with no hard feeling from me personally. He's won us a lot of trophies, and it can't be easy to play at the biggest club in England for a decade, particularly with such high public pressure on a lad who didn't seem to have a full bag of marbles to begin with.

    No golf then!

Wondering what delight I might have for tea myself tonight. Got a pizza express voucher, might treat myself to a tasty pizza meal.

The girlfriend did home made pizza it the weekend. Base, sauce, all toppings the lot. My only contribution was some of my oregano from the garden and wielding the slicing wheel.

Hats off to her, it was the equal of anything bought or restaurant served. Was impressed.
Nearly gave her one as reward.

Nearly, stayed up to watch some golf instead.

Yeah, I know. But as you were out till half five I'd have thought you wouldn't be bothering anyway!

Range for me, followed by food.
Got an urge for a couple of pints now too.

Thankfully I had the foresight to book the morning off as knew I'd cave in and get hammered..

The ****s were running a book to see how long i'd last before tucking in.. I managed 2 hours. then got spannered on red wine. If the weather was good I would play as dont feel too bad really.

Ended up wth a Domino's last night as I couldn't be arsed to go anywhere. Tasty, has to be said.

I offset the guilt by not having any beer.

Just had a full English, it's fair to say the diet and fitness regime is going spiffingly.

I'm finding it hard to eat decently when I'm up here though.

I've no where to cook of an evening so it's pub, supermarket or takeaway. Best food so far is a non chain village pub I've found but that makes it expensive and goes with a pint. Not exactly hard ship but I can't do that every night.

The chain type pubs churn out fried fare.
The food from the supermarkets is utter ****. And then it's take away, hardly ideal to get me into shape.

Will be hitting the gym/pool next week.

  12. I had two sirloin steaks last night. Had mixed pasta with them: some had ham and sausage inside, the others had peperoni <ok>

I like steak strips in a creamy pasta sauce with tagliatelle. That's a nice dish.

Wouldn't use a decent steak on it though, not that British butchers or supermarkets have the first ****ing clue how to cut a decent steak.

Every bought an inch thick rib eye at Tesco?
    No, have you ****.

Think I'll have something pasta based for dinner.

Have had a similar dish also.. very nice..

Just wouldn't have stuffed pasta on the side with a big steak.

left over roast dinner for me tonight i suspect.
